East London Fox Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 I was having a look through Sport Magazine (http://sport-magazine.co.uk/ ) this morning and found a pretty interesting article on the greatest ever football matches . There is the usual England, Brazil, AC Milan, Man UTD, Liverpool. We crop up at number 43 - Swindon Play off final 1993! Still hurts to this day! PS Later in the mag they predict the Championship table, with us in 2nd place behind West Ham!
FazzaF Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 That's funny beacuse on Sky sports, A pundit picked his top 20 games of the Premier league. We placed 8th against Newcastle united. 4-3 Shearer Hat trick
samjohnson Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 I know we won a Premier League award in 2004 for the game at White Hart Lane. Ended 4-4 on Sky. "Most Entertaining Match of the Season"
John Matrix Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 I know we won a Premier League award in 2004 for the game at White Hart Lane. Ended 4-4 on Sky. "Most Entertaining Match of the Season" how did it end everywhere else?
East London Fox Posted 10 August 2011 Author Posted 10 August 2011 was surprised the 3-3 Arsenal match was not in there, but suppose it was only that good if you were a city fan!!
rico Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 what about the 4-3 defeat to Wolves after being 3-0 up ?
Foxblogger Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 was surprised the 3-3 Arsenal match was not in there, but suppose it was only that good if you were a city fan!! If memory serves, the first 70 odd minutes of the match were pretty dreadful.
gingelcfc Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 My favourite was the Leicester VS Tottenham game In the FA cup on 8th jan 2006.. We were 2 down and came back to win it 3-2 with a Mark de Vries goal in injury time. The other two came from Elvis Hammond and Steven Hughes. Again probably only a good game if you support city

You can't not take some sort of pleasure at that.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 Leicester vs Shrewsbury. FAC 6. 5-2. The best City game I have ever seen. A miracle.

Salieri Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 I thought City v Arsenal would be up there. Me too, epic match.
Earlydoorsjones Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 For the old times' sake: You are right about that game - epic !
