He'll turn out to be class, I'm sure. Harsh on Lindegaard though who's apparently had a very good pre-season.

He looked at fault for the first goal as well.

I might be being a bit harsh, but he was very shaky in the first half and didn't have much to do in the second.

Balotelli loves his tantrums

I'm really not sure he's worth all the hassle, it's not as if he's set the world alight on the pitch. People say Mancini manages him well but if he did he wouldn't be throwing all of these tantrums, I think he needs an O'Neill or a Ferguson to keep him in check and get the best out of him.

The second United goal was class. What's with Chris Smalling though?! Looking very good, as he did for the under 21s this summer, and I still can't believe how in the modern game with all the scouting networks he managed to drop low enough down the ladder to come from obscurity. Seems Fergie's building another decent team to leave behind after retirement.

Still think United's defence needs strengthening. But upfront the performance was how I expected them to be.

No more than he deserved - had a storming second-half yesterday and has apparently impressed throughout pre-season. Good to know we set him on the right path..
