Id have to say its far more satisfying chewing a fruit shoot lid . THe wooden lolly stick can splinter and cut your gums, plus has a horrible dry kinda feel to it, urgh.

Were you stoned when you had this discussion by any chance? Which one were you arguing for?

lolly stick definitely - can't be doing with those or wooden chip shop forks, horrible sensation with those in your mouth.

I've never been cut chewing plastic and I chew it almost every occasion I have a plastic bottle.

However, I don't imagine a splinter in the mouth is too pleasant.
