Alpha Gifts & Awards Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Oh shit, what about Wilberforce Road, Bisley Street and Ivy Road, are these res. parking now too? Ta
danny. Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 loads of spaces at Saffron Lane athletics stadium - very cheap!
MrSpaM Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 The roads off Hinkley road usually have spaces, not that far to walk
sven-your-smiling Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 next to rubbish stand at the tigers ground, next to that and its only £3!
Bellend Sebastian Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Mercury This is probably going to be extended to the other side of Narborough Road soon as since the scheme was brought in it's made it a lot worse for the people there. Personally I don't care, because if they'd had any brain cells they'd have seen this coming and should have voted for the scheme when they had the chance, and I'm moving anyway. HA! Fuck them all
Blueasafox Posted 12 August 2011 Author Posted 12 August 2011 The roads off Hinkley road usually have spaces, not that far to walk Thanks MrSpaM were these streets being used for the Madrid match, I'll get to Leicester a bit earlier than I normally allow on Saturday ..will def try around around Hinckley
Blueasafox Posted 12 August 2011 Author Posted 12 August 2011 Mercury Shame really these streets have been used for matchday parking for many many years I've parked in them for about 16yrs on matchdays............... never had one resident complain to me .
Bellend Sebastian Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Shame really these streets have been used for matchday parking for many many years I've parked in them for about 16yrs on matchdays............... never had one resident complain to me . They haven't really got a reason to complain, because if your car's taxed you've every right to park wherever you like if there's no restrictions there. There are quite a folk that got wound up by the City fans parking, but what's really brought the restrictions in are all the folk that park there and walk into town to work

I guess everyones found alternatives .... any more free options or ideas would be much appreciated
Bellend Sebastian Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 The people that live there will punch me for suggesting it, but there are no restrictions on the roads further down the Narb, like Danvers, Raymond and Mountcastle etc and walking to the ground doesn't take that long from there as you can go down Great Central Way to Upperton Road. The other side of Narborough Road is possible but it's pretty busy there at the best of times since the resident's only was brought in nearby

The ones to the right are a no go.
Collymore Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 I think some one shoved something up my exhaust when I was parked off Narborough Road so I'd recommend checking your cars in future.
Blueasafox Posted 12 August 2011 Author Posted 12 August 2011 Generally any road to the left of Narb Road as you drive in. The ones to the right are a no go. Hi adam1 This is why the thread started.......... the roads on the left of the Naggy Road near the ground are now permit holders only Westleigh and Ashleigh for def. .......don't get caught out for Saturday

If you look at a map, I'm pretty sure the latest scheme covers the area between Upperton Road, Braunstone Gate, Western Road and Narborough itself. There's already a scheme on the city side of the canal around De Montfort Uni/The Royal but that's been there for ages now. I think some one shoved something up my exhaust when I was parked off Narborough Road so I'd recommend checking your cars in future. I was just trying to keep a sausage roll warm, sorry about that
floppus Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 A rellie of mine lives just behind the prison. They have residents parking scheme. Visitors day tickets are available from council at a quid a throw. Residents have to pick them up with proof of address. My rellie picks up 5 @ a time for his bro to use at the eggers. You scratch off panels to reveal a date to validate. ......... Make friends with local to lcfc. Save £245 on Stadium price.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leicestershire-14504117 Sounds like it may not be the weekend to be taking any chances, super dudes
