It does give 'monority' sports a chance to be seen by the world.

It was worth watching the gymnastics last night if only to see the American teams faces after the last Romanian girl but in a blinder for the last piece to take the team title!!

Yeah, i play hockey and its the only time ever that its on t.v so i enjoy the olympics just to watch the hockey.

I do watch the other wierd events aswel and laugh at the fat people throwing hammers and shit like that.

Definatly good. :)

I love watching the Olympics.

Normally I couldn't care less about some of the sports in it but when it's on TV and you are cheering GB it makes it interesting.

The Olympicsare one of the highlights of this year.

At the moment the less popular sports are on, and its all about building up to the track and field which is a great spectacal. I am a big follower of Athletics and can't wait for it to get started. I've enjoyed watching the swimming, but a few of the other sports are really too interesting, but if there is a Brit competing I love to watch it and cheer them on.

Not to sure, there was a Melton born women who got bronze in the Archery yesterday, I heard someone from Leicester won a medal yesterday can't remember what for though. There are a couple from Nottingham in the Badminton mixed doubles at 2:50 and a bloke from Nottingham in the canoeing.

The majority of the Olympic team are based in the East Midland though because of Loughborough, so thats good :D

Today looks to be a good day, we are garenteed at least a silver in the Badminton mixed doubles. We look dead certs in 3 or 4 classes in the sailing to take Gold So hopefully by the weekend we will have a healthy amount of golds with the Sailing coming to an end, the Badminton and the Rowing finals aswell. We also have 2 Brits in the 200m butterfly fina so hopefully we can do well in that and one of them was the quickest qualifier so that puts him in a good position allthough all that does is put you in a good lane, as we was with Stephan Parry.

Can't wait for the Athletics now :D

Teeno, you'll be going wild then! What with three people from your 'home county' in the hunt for a medal? Do they support Forest like yourself too?

Watched the badminton mixed doubles final today and it was great viewing it really was. We lost just but it was gripping entertainment.

We were abit lucky in the mens 200m backstroke as well. We finished fourth but the bloke who won got disqualified, so we got a bronze. :D

Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realise we cannot eat money.
