somebum Posted 25 September 2011 Posted 25 September 2011 Hey, sorry this is slightly off topic, but I'm managing to get to my first game in a while for the Derby match. Any suggestions as to where I sit for a bit of atmosphere? Best off recording some crowd noises on your Ipod and listening to that throughout the match.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 25 September 2011 Author Posted 25 September 2011 Cardiff tomorrow will be my 44th away ground, (including old grounds) cov man city arsenal etc good going I was proud of my record of 54 away grounds until I counted up how many clubs had moved to new grounds, or were no longer in the league - no less than twenty-one! So now I'm back to just 33 grounds - the same point I was at in 1993. I did however see Shepshed play at Burton Albion back in 1991, so that might make it 34. still good going in my opinion
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 25 September 2011 Author Posted 25 September 2011 About 200, but spread over 38 years so not so great Never lived in Leicestershire though so that's my excuse 200 sounds a fair amount if youve never lived in Leicestershire imo
lcfc_amie Posted 26 September 2011 Posted 26 September 2011 I'll try and work it out roughly. I went one when I was about 3 but didn't like all the noise. I started going again when I was 7, and was hooked from then on. From about 7-9 I went to probably 10 games a season? So that's 21 (if you count the one I went to when I was 3) From 9-11 I had a season ticket, so that's 46. And one of them seasons I went my 1st away game (47), and I think I remember going to a couple of friendlies too (49 + 21 =70 ). from 11-17, I probably went to about 15 games a season (just getting the calculator out ) =90 + 70 = 160 2 seasons ago, I started to go to some more away matches. I went Watford, Swansea, Sheffield Wednesday, Derby and Preston. (166). Add Cardiff home playoff game (167) Last season I got a season ticket again (190) + away games Coventry, Barnsley, Hull, Preston, Man city, sheffield untied, QPR, Reading and Doncaster. (199) . Add Man city at home in the cup (200). I have a season ticket again this season. (204). And so far I've been to Coventry, Rotherham and Barnsley (207). + the friendly against Real Madrid (208). I might be a couple out, but my grand total is 208. Just realised how much time I spent working that out. It was only meant to be a rough estimation

Im 40 and by rough guesstimates im on around the 400 mark Young lady, but thanks anyway I'm 18, 19 this year, so yeah, still quite young. All my family are Leicester fans, and living in Leicestershire all my life helps too. To be honest I surprised myself with that total, thought it'd be around the 120/150 mark.
