davieG Posted 23 June 2005 Posted 23 June 2005 having seen the fixture list; whoever gets automatic promotion this season will have bloody well earned it. I also wouldn't be surprised to see another big Club, (from a Championship perspective) follow Forest into Dvision 1, let's hope it isn't us.

I reckon you might be onto something there Hoof.

Sam Posted 23 June 2005 Posted 23 June 2005 Another season and again there's not a good team in the championship realistically not one that could survive in the premiership anyway. So whoever goes up will probably come straight back down as I expect Sunderland, Wigan and West Ham to do. But quite tough games for a very average team like us and I'd be happy with a top half finish.
Bluefoxtim Posted 23 June 2005 Posted 23 June 2005 yeah but after the 1st two games i think, we have a four game spell of 4 'weaker' teams, all the ones that got promoted and stoke. That period may be vital to see how we are going to do

We got three hard fixtures to start up with IMO
Hitesh Posted 23 June 2005 Posted 23 June 2005 Its guaranteed that its gonna be close. A few wins on the bounce will definitly make a difference. Be interesting to see who takes an early lead...i reckon it will be someone like Preston or Derby. But its all about whose there at the end of the day! But the gap between the premiership and championship is getting bigger every year so its gonna be hard for promoted clubs to stay up. Is it worth stayin the the championship for a couple of seasons to build a squad rahter than gettin promotion straight away? or is that too risky coz there is a chance you become one of them clubs who becomes isolated and is always a mid-table team? not sure...
Leicester_Mad Posted 23 June 2005 Posted 23 June 2005 its best to go to the Premiership, get the parachute payments after relegation and then build for survival in the prem after that

But quite tough games for a very average team like us and I'd be happy with a top half finish. 126718[/snapback] Yes, we'll all be chuffed to bits if we finish 11th. <_<
