Freeman's Wharfer Posted 7 October 2011 Posted 7 October 2011 Bruno Berner is now on Twitter! @BrunoBerner I know there is a Twitter topic but Bruno also has a new website http://www.brunoberner.com/ and I personally am really looking forward to reading some of his blogs on there. Before you accuse me of being Bruno/Bruno's wife/anything related to Bruno, I am not! I am simply one of his many LCFC fans. I just thought we could open up this into a little discussion of all things Bruno related. For me the guy just about squeezes into my top 10 all-time favourite LCFC players. I think one of the blemishes on Sven's time at Leicester has been the way he treated Bruno last year, I just hope that Bruno isn't so unhappy that he can't stay at the club in a non-playing capacity. People talk of Howard/Oakley/any other old player becoming a coach but Bruno is a class above them. The guy's played international football, top European level football in a couple of different countries and was able to play in several positions. Someone like Bruno, in my opinion, with his dedication and professionalism has far more to offer in a coaching capacity. Just imagine you're learning to drive, do you want Steve Howard smacking the horn, getting road rage and tearing about in a three-wheeler teaching you? Or a relaxed, considered Bruno thoroughly helping you through every aspect of driving calmly in a Jaguar?!
RowlattsFox Posted 7 October 2011 Posted 7 October 2011 On the subject of Berner, I have an old man where I work who comes in and says every week that Berner should be starting, no matter how well we've done. He even said this week after the Derby game, and when I told him " we've kept 4 clean sheets in a row" he still says Berner is better and should be playing. Infact this week, he gave me is preffered back four: Tunchev Berner Kennedy Bamba No idea where he gets his information from, pretty sure he hasn't been too a game in about 10 years and relies on radio leicester and the mercury for his info. Working in a shop, it gets annoying listening to views of people who clearly have no idea.

Basingstoke Fox Posted 10 October 2011 Posted 10 October 2011 Love Bruno Berner. I'd say he is still my favourite LCFC player. He was fantastic for us in the 2009/2010 season. Shame he can't quite get into our squad right now but I'd love it if he stayed with us in some capacity. I watched him on one of the regional football shows last year where he was talking about what went wrong for us last season. He speaks an awful lot of sense and comes accross as an intelligent bloke. I remember an epic clearance off the line at Plymouth away in 2010 and his goal at Palace which meant we actually bloody won at Selhurst Park. Bruno
