Matt Posted 24 June 2005 Posted 24 June 2005 Well two weeks running, there have been rumours tickets will be annouced, two weeks running nowt has happened, There is less than a month left before this game goes ahead (July 19th) and seeing as MON isn't there anymore it won't have such a big thing surrounding the game, I have thought MON might come down and be "guest of honour" or something which he still might be. The thing i'm trying to point out is its not such a big game, its a time when many people are on holiday, and we have struggled to sell tickets all season so whats gonna make this game so special? Whats gonna make this game a sell out, and with less than a month to sell tickets will there be many fans there at all? I will be there, but i'm just thinking the club couldn't arrange a piss up in a brewery because its not the first dogy thing the club have annoced and its gone tits up is it (Jani Sturm - Ok he failed a medical...It happens, Inter Milan - The club said the hope to be in a position to annouce a friendly with Inter Milan...Why didn't the club leave it until they could definetly anounce it?, Now this less than month to sell tickets for a match they want to make big) I will be e-mailing the ticket office soon, to find out what the fuk is going on about Celtic tickets...

Its true what you are saying though. I think the club are more interested in the Inter game now that MON isnt Celtic manager anymore tbh, it seems to have taken the gloss off the game a little. Doesnt excuse the lack of info though does it?
Hitesh Posted 24 June 2005 Posted 24 June 2005 I totally forgot that we were playing Celtic and im not normally a person who forgets stuff easily. I think that City need to sort out their media relations...they need to keep the fans informed on a regular basis on event, transfers and tickets.
Anish Posted 24 June 2005 Posted 24 June 2005 I agree with Matt again. What on earth is going on at City again? Pathetic media/public relations - why announce something when it's not finalised? Do they not understand the concept of last minute hitches? They just don't seem to learn the lesson time and time again.
Matt Posted 24 June 2005 Author Posted 24 June 2005 Foxes Trust might be trying time after time (I don't know) but I thought the Foxes Trust was "our voice" so why doesn't much get done? Ok one forum doesn't give a whole indication of all the fans of LCFC but i'm sure many of us agree on this, why doesn't the Foxes Trust push for more info? Give the club opinions of what we think of the club and how they handle stuff?

Will ask early next week. Why do you think the club is making more effort to be open with the fans (and hence an open meeting in the summer, which hasn't happened before), we have been encouraging this since we formed and there are clear signs a more open approach is now emerging following the departure of Paul Mace. The results of the survey we are carrying out at present will be discussed at the Open Meeting in July which is one of the ways views of fans are given to the club For info - no signings imminent
Mark Posted 24 June 2005 Posted 24 June 2005 For info - no signings imminent 127263[/snapback] Another relegation battle is on the cards then.. the squad is currently worse than last seasons, how the hell we are going to score, we need at least 2 strikers and 2 wingers, but all you tell us is we're after 2 defenders and a striker - a striker called Mamame Sidiby was it? How unfortunute we missed out on him. I'm NOT going to be pleased watching goaless bore draws. Mr Levein may have loved his defensive displays, clean sheets and 0-0's up in Scotland, but in this league you HAVE to score goals. Double the amount we are currently capable of.
Anish Posted 25 June 2005 Posted 25 June 2005 I am sensing a little frustration growing towards Levein at the moment, which is understandable with the lack of action on the transfer scene, but let's wait til the season starts before we start having a pop at anyone. You never know, we still might do well.

No signings imminent means within the next week or so, we don't start our pre season games until 2 weeks tomorrow, give the bloke a chance. There's still a month and a half before we start the season proper.
Matt Posted 25 June 2005 Author Posted 25 June 2005 My reply back from the ticket office Hi,There has been a delay from the Celtic side of things which is out of our control sir,but we are meeting with Celtic early next week so with a little bit of luck we will be able to announce details of this game next week. Tickets for the Inter Milan game will be announced shortly. I hope I have been of some assistance to you. Please dont hesitate to contact us if we can help you further. Kind Regards Jim Ticket Office So there has been cock-ups with the arrangement of the Celtic game...I hasn't surprised me, Its just confirmed what I thought had happened! I wonder if it genuinely is a "delay from the Celtic side of things" or whether the club is just passing the buck - Which wouldn't surprise me....
Craig Posted 25 June 2005 Posted 25 June 2005 Sounds like the Inter game is definately on then. As for the Celtic thing, it's probably to do with the change of manager up there. Maybe Strachans not so keen to play here as O'Neill would have been, who knows.
gatesheadfox Posted 25 June 2005 Posted 25 June 2005 the clubs website hasnt been updated since thursday morning i think, i'd rather levein took time trying to negotiate with the best players available instead of doing what PT did and just pick who's available and in the newspapers as promising.

People seem to think that we're the only club not making signings but look at this and hardly anyone's making signings apart from free transfers. Most contracts finish on the 30th of June do they not? If I remember rightly Dion was our first signing last summer and that was only a few days before July or July the 1st itself. Anyway I don't want to see lots of signings coming in just for the sake of it. Just because they're free agents doesn't mean we have to sign them like we did last summer.

Its also true what Jon says - why sign a player for sitting on his backside in June, training starts in July, this is the reason the Henderson signing hasn't actually been announced as complete as yet.
