Trust me he really was getting alot of sh*t from our fans! Every time he went to get his bottle of water we were right in his face. The guy behind me was screaming "YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF. YOU LET YOUR COUNTRY DOWN YOU C***!!". He looked as if he was about to cry. After a while I thought we were abit over the top and I started to feel sorry for him. He probably hasnt forgiven himself for it, one simple, silly moment ****ing up his whole life. However, it was very enjoyable to carry on! :P

After their 3rd goal when he was giving abit to our fans I thought, yeah fair enough. But at the final whistle? My god did he embarass himself. He was well over the top! I guess it shows we really got under his skin. It would be lovely to smash them at the KP and throw it right back in his face. (although that would never happen at the KP)

fair enough then

The worst thing chanted at Green was.

"He let England down, He let England doowwwwn, Rob Green's a willy puller, He let England down"

The other chants were simply "Dodgy Keeper", "USA USA" and our usual abuse for any goalkeeper upon taking a free kick.

Not sure that subsequently classifies those involved in the chanting as cnuts Matt P, but each to their own.

if you were rob green and had that shouted at you all game, I would most certainly laugh at the away fans especially we he won!

come on he took stick all game what do you expect.

hes still dodgy though,

So a footballer shows some passion and he is now unprofessional.

Also, if that was our player, our ground and our win, he would be a hero. A legend.

Honestly, some of you need to man up a bit.

Why is it that fans think they can say what they want to players but can't take it back when they react?

I didn't see a problem with what he did.

He just celebrated, no offensive gestures. I found it amusing more than anything.

Was a great bit of banter between us and Rob Green; one of the highlights of the day and part of experience of enjoying football imo!

Us doing what normal opposition fans would do; take the piss and try to get under the opposition players skin... and he gave some back at the end, not really a huge problem... That said, I was angry at the end and gave my fair share of abuse after he did that; reasons probably being that we just lost and he played for them so fair play!

Although he did make himself look like an idiot celebrating like he'd won the World Cup! And it was good to see Peltier sticking up for us and giving us his support.

The abusing chanting against Green was epic though- very funny! Best one had to be 'You let England down, Robert you willy puller, you let England down!'

All I will say is a player get a caution for taking his shirt off in celebration, the reason? I've heard it's because it could 'incite fans', whether that is the correct term reason i'm not sure.

So what Rob Green did was worse than taking taking his shirt off in celebration, it did anger fans and it could have seriously caused alot of aggro and trouble for the fans sake, players, stewards, officials and himself. Is this cautioned? Or does he get a warning? No.

I can see Green's point and i'd possibly do the same, all i'm saying is it makes even more of a mockery of the taking you shirt off and getting cautioned arguement.
