robbieLOVESthealmightylcfc Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Just wondered why all our fans were so mad at him and pelts didn't shake his hand after the match?
z-layrex Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Something to do with him taunting our fans? Don't care really.
HEGGSY Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Just wondered why all our fans were so mad at him and pelts didn't shake his hand after the match? Celebrated in front of our fans in a sort of taunting manner. Unprofessional
Larry_LCFC Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Yeah he ran along infront of our fans taunting them. Proper cock.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Just the same what Paddy Kenny did in front of us last season
Schlupp Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Celebrated in front of our fans in a sort of taunting manner. Unprofessional The ****,So I lad can't show some passion?
robbieLOVESthealmightylcfc Posted 1 November 2011 Author Posted 1 November 2011 Ah twat, sounds the same as Carson last time west brom played us at the walkers
martyn Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 The abuse must really, really have got under his skin for him to react the way he did (blatant taunting of opposition fans).

martyn Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 The worst thing chanted at Green was. "He let England down, He let England doowwwwn, Rob Green's a willy puller, He let England down" The other chants were simply "Dodgy Keeper", "USA USA" and our usual abuse for any goalkeeper upon taking a free kick. Not sure that subsequently classifies those involved in the chanting as cnuts Matt P, but each to their own.

martyn Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 It's hard to convey accurately in writing, but just over the top, aggressive celebrating (whatever that is) towards our fans behind the goal. I wasn't particularly bothered by it tbh, just thought it made Green look a bit of an idiot. Would have thought a seasoned pro like him would prefer to celebrate with his own fans.
Maybes Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Do we really care? I would have done something similar if I was him. He is human after all.

I would of done the same thing. You think Nugent was unprofessional when he celebrated towards the Derby fans after the stick they gave them?
martyn Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 I would of done the same thing. You think Nugent was unprofessional when he celebrated towards the Derby fans after the stick they gave them? I'm not interested if it's unprofessional or not. As you have alluded to there, our opinions of such incidents are framed by what our own reactions would be. The difference here is the aggressiveness of Green's action. It wasn't really the equivalent to 'shushing' in terms of inciting the opposition fans. As has been said, it really doesn't particularly matter, so I'm not going to keep debating. Just my two-penneth on what happened.
ealingfox Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Just like Nugent does every game! No. Not in the slightest.
NorthEastFox Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Rob Green had every right to do what ever he wanted tbh after the continuous taunting because of his last England performance. Throughout the match he made no response. He sarcastically celebrated in front of us. Made him look a bit silly. Just a casual smile and a slow short wave towards us would have been far cooler. But it was actually not too annoying to us we had seen a fantastic fighting second half with Howard and Dyer playing some of the best form I have seen them. Considering Sven had frozen them out over the last few months it was a great performance. So Green response was pretty much a sideshow to our feelings!
mbmb10 Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 I loved his reaction, it showed our chanting really got him annoyed and it was just an exchange of banter! Then to top it off Peltier refused to shake his hand
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Why is it that fans think they can say what they want to players but can't take it back when they react?
Fox92 Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Something to do with him taunting our fans? Don't care really. You would have cared if you were at Upton Park. Ok, the fans gave him a bit of stick (which he probably gets off of all of the fans in the division) but he was so unprofessional. When the whistle went he ran in front of our support celebrating West Ham's win. Yeah some of the fans were giving him stick and he gave it back, but it was unprofessional in my opinion, especially from an England International.
Simmo86 Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 I loved his reaction, showed that the stick got to him.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Trust me he really was getting alot of sh*t from our fans! Every time he went to get his bottle of water we were right in his face. The guy behind me was screaming "YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF. YOU LET YOUR COUNTRY DOWN YOU C***!!". He looked as if he was about to cry. After a while I thought we were abit over the top and I started to feel sorry for him. He probably hasnt forgiven himself for it, one simple, silly moment ****ing up his whole life. However, it was very enjoyable to carry on! After their 3rd goal when he was giving abit to our fans I thought, yeah fair enough. But at the final whistle? My god did he embarass himself. He was well over the top! I guess it shows we really got under his skin. It would be lovely to smash them at the KP and throw it right back in his face. (although that would never happen at the KP)
Haydos Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Why is it that fans think they can say what they want to players but can't take it back when they react? This. Fair play to him.
