Webbo Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 No doubt the taxpayers will be dipping their hands into pockets to fund the whole thing... again. It'll be at the Olympic stadium surely?
marko Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 It'll be at the Olympic stadium surely? Depends on what happens to the Olympic Stadium. Even if it does take place there, i'm sure taxpayers money will go towards all the organising, admin etc, etc. There's plenty of hidden costs with these things.

Definitely sounds like it's part of the plan... http://sport.uk.msn.com/msn-world-of-sport/london-successful-in-2017-bid IAAF vice-president and London 2012 chairman Sebastian Coe led London's presentation and the decision fulfils his 2005 promise that the Olympic Stadium would have an enduring athletics legacy.

Yes but there'll be ticket sales, sponsorship and TV rights. It's just possible it'll make a profit.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 12 November 2011 Posted 12 November 2011 Am I the only one that's quite happy about this? Couldn't get tickets to the olympics so I get another chance to see some world class sports men/women right on my own doorstep? It's always tax pagers this, tax payers that and yes I kinda see where your coming from but **** me I some times think people just like the sound of their own complaining.
