muzzy1981 Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 As we all know we need a new winger or two to give us width. But in terms of central midfield, I find it hard to believe that there isn't a potentially great combination out of King, Wellens, Abe, Johnson, Danns and Fenandes. Pearson just needs to find it and give them a good run. I just don't think it is King and Wellens anymore, maybe one of them but not together. What central midfield pairing or three would you like to see?
Monk Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 I think we need a 5 man midfield to be honest, but it ain't going to happen.
Babylon Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 I think we almost have more threads on midfielders than the number of midfielders currently in the squad.
Monk Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 almost... but we do have a LOT of centre mids....

shilton_fox Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 IMO we need a player who plays a similar game to scott parker who will do all the dirty work in midfield in order to let a more creative midfielder do there job which at the minute we have neither

marbelladave Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 I'd prefer Peter Parker, great ball control and ****ing awesome at set pieces. Didn't realise Spiderman played soccerball.......
Babylon Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 Didn't realise Spiderman played soccerball....... Oh yeah, he's a well known LCFC fan. Wears his fox leisure tracksuit under the spiderman outfit.
Corky Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 Play all 6. No favouritism, one combination surely has to work.

muzzy1981 Posted 21 December 2011 Author Posted 21 December 2011 I agree shilton_fox, ala Robbie Savage, personally I think Abe can do it on a good day, not sure about week in week out and maybe lacking a bit in strength.
Babylon Posted 21 December 2011 Posted 21 December 2011 Err Babs.. You swore! Too ****ing right I did.
Swalker Posted 21 December 2011 Posted 21 December 2011 1. Danns isn't a CM he is a winger played out of position 2. Our best combination of CM's is Abe and Fernandes. Real engine in the centre of the team, cover the defence and so allow the fullbacks to go forward further because they can cover for them
Bausor Posted 21 December 2011 Posted 21 December 2011 danns is an attacking centre mid and should be given time there to show what he can do
foxes2011 Posted 22 December 2011 Posted 22 December 2011 out with the old in with some new, remeber fernandes and johnson are just loans wellends is ok but i think hes more of a league 1 player i think, abes good but just a defensive player, danns doesnt leave much to imagine and i think king is the only one i see as a really good mid player but tbh hes not hit form this season but hes young and i do think hes good
