Leicester City defender Cian Bolger has agreed a new contract with the Club, keeping him at King Power Stadium until June 2013.

The 19-year-old centre-half, currently on loan with League 2 side Bristol Rovers, extends his stay with the Foxes after an impressive start to his professional career.

Currently in his second year as a pro after graduating from City's academy, Cian has acquired an impressive amount of Football League experience - playing six games on loan with Rovers last season, before returning to make a further 20 this term.

He made his latest appearance in the Pirates' FA Cup third round tie against Aston Villa on Saturday, where the six-foot four-inch Irishman won considerable praise for his performance against Premier League opposition.

His current loan spell with the Gas runs up to the end of January and continues on Tuesday night when Rovers travel to relegation rivals Hereford United in npower League 2.

his loan is up at the end of the month I think, maybe he's the next youngster to be involved?
