richswin6 Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Now that ssl and mills have become solid what does the future hold for sol? Personally I think he's to good a player to be on the bench. It's time for him to get in that defensive midfield role !!
butterslcfc Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 I don't think its any coincidence that this run has come while Bamba is not here. Bench at best is what he can hope for. Takes too many risks and would not like to see him play in midfield.
robbieLOVESthealmightylcfc Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 straight back in the team, every team needs some sol
richswin6 Posted 28 January 2012 Author Posted 28 January 2012 He is a better player than mills fact !And what you saying Steve u wanna go son ?
Schlupp Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 SSL and Bamba would make a dream partnership,Mills is still shakey to me he doesn't look right you can't suggest dropping our most consistant center back bamba just because St Ledger and Mills have managed to keep Southampton who had two key players out from scoring a forest team that hadn't scored in 10 games and a league two team from scoring surely?St Ledger is the best defender at the club IMO but dropping Bamba for Mills is a ludocrious suggestion.
jonlcfc1990 Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Bamba is a great player his solid defensive partnership nearly got us innate playoffs last season and this seasons he's been good I love all these fickle fans tattooing SSL into their chest next to their "Leicester till we lose again" tattoo get a grip it's just embarrassing
Samilktray Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 He is a better player than mills fact !And what you saying Steve u wanna go son ? Did you really just offer somebody out on the internet?
Salieri Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 How can you argue when people say 'FACT'? Milktray
Finnegan Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 What's wrong with having three solid CBs? One's bound to drop out of form or pick up an injury, I'd say three potential first choice central defenders is an absolute minimum. Some of our fans are just retarded, Mills and SSL have a few good games together and all of a sudden we "look better without Sol." Excuse me? How many clean sheets did Bamba and Mills keep together? Some people need to pipe down and stow the over-reactions.
Webbo Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 If he's not sold he'd make an ideal sub, cover in defence, could stick him in midfield and you could probably stick him up front in an emergency. I really like and I hope we keep him but it wouldn't be fair to drop either SSL or Mills on current form.
Bettsj2 Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 He'll be sold. We all know what Pearson wants from central defenders and it isnt charging up the field taking people on. Mills and SSL are the future.
acooling08 Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Bamba should be on the bench when he returns.

I agree and in an ideal world you would have 3 or 4 decent centre backs who are all happy to stay at the club, regardless of whether they are first choice or not. If Bamba is happy to stay and fight for his place then great.

Webbo Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 I was going to laugh too but he might threaten to fight me.
richswin6 Posted 28 January 2012 Author Posted 28 January 2012 There is no point buying Morgan. Tunchev is better and if he gets back fully fit a Bamba tunch partnership could be incredible !!!
Webbo Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 You wanna go Webbo? I'll meet you in the playground at break time.
Salieri Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 I like Webbo, but I also like Finnegan. But who's the best? There's only one way to find out............
