Experience is useful but he's no Sheringham, some of his performances last season were unforgiveable. But he's no good for a striker, especially in this league, this season is so important to improve on last season, fresh start = no Dion, in my opinion. How can that be? Even on the off chance he stays injury free for longer than a pot noodle and a wank, he's got alot of convincing the manager and fans he deserves a starting place.

This is the first pre season he has done in a long long time and he was a good player a few years back. Perhaps not the 3.5 million Jim Smith forked out but I think CL has liked what he has seen when he did get out with a ball on the training ground. He doesn't have to convince the fans of anything we don't pick the matchday squad.

Interchangeable positions is whats CL has purchased and I bet youll see all of them changing positions through the season.
alf Posted 8 July 2005 Posted 8 July 2005 It is hardly rigid! kisnorbo can drop in at centre half with Johansson moving to left back and Tiatto pushing on. Maybury overlapping Sylla, who himself has played at right back in his St Johnstone days. Anyway, I am sure I remeber Levein saying he wanted one side to be more narrow thatn the other. Surely this would mean employing a more central player out wide ie. Hughes who played wide right towards the end of the season anyway.
