Just been looking at the fixtures and we have some games coming up where we could grab all 3 points with Cardiff, Watford and Derby i think are all beatable. I know we don't like doing things the easy way but there still is a chance we can make play offs only Birmingham at home and Reading away i think we could slip up. Thoughts?

I thought looking at our fixtures this is our toughest period coming up all season then again we tend to get more points against better opposition anyway so who knows what will happen

Most teams there i think are beatable we have got the difficult ones out the way, i know you have to beat the best but this is a good time to get a good run together.

Well we wont pick up points by seriously underestimating teams but there's also nothing wrong with a bit of confidence, I just hope Dawn's falsies were not provided by PIP

This is why I don't think our season is over yet. Ok, we have a very tough few months remaining, but we have got games against the likes of Cardiff, Derby, Birmingham, West Ham, Leeds and Reading (etc.) all coming up, meaning that if we were to take points off these teams, we can push forward. Now is the time, and yeah it is a ask, but I have confidence.

This type of thing has been said time and time again this season.

As usual, there was a dramatic over- optimism when Pearson won his first game, leading to many on here again claiming we were going to go on a great run over Christmas.

Take it one game at a time... In Cardiff we are playing one of the best sides in the division, and in Watford we are playing a side who have improved at home.

And we are a pretty average side.

There's no reason why we can't win the next three league games, but based on how we have been this season, we could easily lose them too.

I think we are 'rebuilding' (yet again!)...

You have a good point but the majority of the games coming up are there for the taking where as in recent months we have had to play atleast 2 of the top 10 which we have slipped up. But as someone said no one is an easy game.

Don't fall into the trap of judging whether we will win or not based solely on the form of the teams coming up.

Instead, look at how WE are playing.. Better yes, but by no means consistent.

Similar to when we were under Sven, it's this inconsistency that's worrying.. Which is often an indication of a squad of players that is, in fact, of just average ability.

If we genuinely had a very good squad of players, I reckon Nige would have got them playing consistently better by now. But we don't, and he hasn't..

IMO.

This is why Southampton are now slipping up (their squad has been punching above its weight for ages) and why West Ham will win the league (they have the best quality squad)

As I said at the start of the season, Cardiff will probably come second.

IMO.

Lets get behind the guys on saturday. say time after time on this forum. lets create a cracking atmosphere and really get the guys going. if you think the play offs are over don't bother turning up as we can do without your negativity. i dont care if im the only one who still thinks we can still make the play offs then so be it, ill definitely be there singing my heart out as i still believe that this team is good enough to beat anyone home or away in this league. NOW is the time to get a run going. cmon leicester its now or never. LTID.

I still believe if anyone wil get in the Po's from no where it will be us and other teams think that too, we can do it easily if we win our home games but we are Leicester and will never do anything easily.

Every side in the division is beatable. But we are not consistant we beat soton and the seagulls when they were top.

Then go to donny and get beat I said before exmas we would not reach the play off's.

A couple of weeks ago I thought I may be wrong then we struggle against boro and brighton (yes I know the refs played a part in both games)

But they were games we needed all the points from and we got 1 from 6.

Also unless becks apeal is won we are getting weaker by each game we play. Sending off's and injuries so back to my plan A I am sorry we won't make the play off's.

At least this is not one of them stupid I think we'll get 12pts from the next 15 or has everyone got pissed off with them lol lol

we will not make the playoffs this year. Its absolutely plain to see. I love City as much as anyone but am also a realist. We just aren't good enough. Lets face it, why should we think we can make the playoffs when i think we've spent what....1 week in the top 6 over the last season and a half? I bet most of the championship at some stage or other has been in the top 6 more than we have!

We are an average championship side currently and this will be reflected IMO by our dead in the middle 12th spot finish.

Move on to next season

I dont mean anything by it. My point is, if we were to finish mid table, would anyone be at all surprised? Yes we can all hope that we finish higher but the likelyhood of it is that we wont. Thats all im saying :)

Okie Dokie........and no i would'nt be surprised at all given our season so far .

Maybe i'm the eternal optimist ,but i'v just got this tiny inkling we are not quite finished yet !

Let's all hope not anyway ;)

As some have said already (or alluded to) on this thread, we thought it was going to be "easy" in the run up to Christmas and into the new year after just losing at Hull (despite there being an obvious edge to that game re Pearson). So what do we go and do ? - we end up getting a mere six points from a possible 18 thereafter (from Peterborough at home through to Barnsley at home!). I want to be positive about the remainder of this season too but realism all too often is standing in the way of out and out optimism! I'd like to be wrong though and hope we can get that elusive set of back to back wins that we have still yet to accomplish - and then push on towards the play offs, all starting with Cardiff at home this weekend.

I don't see much point in predicting Championship fixtures, anybody can beat anybody.

If we play the sort of football we have been up until Saturday, we could beat every team put in front of us from our league, and give Norwich a good go on the 18th.

If we don't turn up, as we've seen numerous times this season, we'll falter and end up roughly where we are now, languishing in mid-table.

All we can do is hope, believe, and back the players and Nige.

Foxes never quit :scarf:
