Corky Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 I can recall 2, both in 2009/10- home to Sheff Wed and at Cardiff.
Simmo86 Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 Considering he's got a head like a 50p i'd say about 2! I can recall 2, both in 2009/10- home to Sheff Wed and at Cardiff. Make your own guess!
Corky Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 Make your own guess! I provide examples to back up what I say. Ner ner
Guest Col city fan Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 Just another Hume situation, 90% of our fans we prefer to see someone run about like a headless chicken rather than score goals. Bloody backwards I am convinced that the reason we have done so badly this season is for two reasons. Firstly, a lack of goals from ALL areas. Secondly, our inability to defend as a team, starting with the forwards. It's clear as crystal to me. And this is why I'm surprised, nay amazed that Nige didn't go get a striker in the window. I'd have pushed the boat out for Sharp.
fleckneymike Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 We have a winner! A mere 2 years ago Super Steve last scored with his bonce. Against QPR 05/04/2010
Guest Col city fan Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 We have a winner! A mere 2 years ago Super Steve last scored with his bonce. Thought so... Christ on a bike! Now look up Vassells scoring record of the past few seasons.. I think you'll find it's on a par
davieG Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 He was past it when Holloway signed him, and was a big reason we went down due to a clear lack of effort. Has everyone forgot? One good season at his level in League one and we should have parted ways then, instead he's somehow lasted another 3 years. He would struggle to get a game for a top half League 2 team now. Sven did us no favours though giving a contract extension to both Howard and Oakley for no reason whatsoever. Even Pearson realised Kermorgant was a better option towards the end of 2009/10. We should be looking towards the future now, instead of wheeling Howard out give Tom Hopper a chance to impress. But we won't, it'll be Howard starting on Tuesday night and Hopper nowhere to be seen. Typical Leicester City looking to the past instead of the future. They both had a one year option on their previous contract agreed with Mandaric/Holloway, they obviously chose to take up that option so there was nothing Sven or anyone else could do other than buy them out.
jonlcfc1990 Posted 12 March 2012 Posted 12 March 2012 Howard is a player you use when your midfield is being completely over run you bring him on to give people someone to aim at and hold up the play now none of our other strikers do this ATM so he still had a place in the team... However there are younger and better target men available out there and I think after this season this tank should be put out to ply his trade elsewhere there will be no one more unhappier than me when he goes I think he's been an absolute leg for us in his service for us at Leicester but its clear if we want to be up there we need good young hungry players and on Saturday I'd rather of seen Schlupp or hopper on but as I mentioned before if your midfield isn't being effective enough you might as well play with 0 strikers
hbkkids Posted 12 March 2012 Posted 12 March 2012 It's not a question of his commitment; he's simply reached the stage where he no longer offers us anything. Isn't he out of contract in the summer anyway? yeah, he will leave in the summer
K Green 17 Posted 12 March 2012 Posted 12 March 2012 Are we really debating whether this old man is a good player? Yes i love his passion, and yes i love his work rate but if you were given 45 minutes to try and impress wouldnt you do the same if you couldnt actually play football? he is absolutely god awful, end of discussion.
Danno Posted 12 March 2012 Posted 12 March 2012 He's alright to bring on if we're winning in the last 20 minutes ago, but by no means should he start.
