stix Posted 6 July 2012 Posted 6 July 2012 Just seen one in real life for the very first time - and I have to admit, they're gorgeous: Was it the Toyota or the Scooby? Incredible looking cars....would love either to be fair. Although i think the Scooby version handles better...alledgedly(sp?)

Wycombe Fox Posted 7 July 2012 Posted 7 July 2012 First - 1966 Triumph Herald 12/50 Worst - 1979 Morris Marina 1.7L - everything that could've gone wrong, did. Best - 1973 Triumph GT6 Mk 3, 2 litre straight six with overdrive on 3rd and 4th - great fun. Current - 2008 BMW 520se diesel - absolutely love it, especially the 58mpg on a long journey. Dream - any variant of the Pagani Zonda.
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 I'm looking at a Fiesta ST tomorrow. Decided I can't afford the Focus ST so thought I'd look at the next best thing. 2.0 litre 56 plate ST only £500 for me to insure, can't really grumble at that.
1964FOX Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 A Skoda Octavia VRS 2.9, again I've had the pleasure of being in one when they've been pushed to their limit and I can guarantee they'd surprise a few people, truly fast car! Funny how most people I know who drive at 120+ regularly would agree with you and actually Consider it the best they have driven.
stix Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 Funny how most people I know who drive at 120+ regularly would agree with you and actually Consider it the best they have driven. Who do you know that REGULARLY do 120mph+!!!!
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 Funny how most people I know who drive at 120+ regularly would agree with you and actually Consider it the best they have driven. I was a passenger in one that was being driven at 140mph and it was still so smooth! Absolute stonking speed!
ozleicester Posted 20 July 2012 Posted 20 July 2012 Does anyone remember the Wartburg? It had a Wankel rotary engine. I never owned one but I knew a guy who did. Said it was the quietest most fuel efficient car ever (circa 1972). I was young then and intrigued by the Wankel... (ahem) I had a Mazda RX4 with i think the Wankel, loved it tiny little car that looked nothing, but could leave most big 6's standing First Car - Valiant AP5 about 1965ish model ?? - so very cool with its push button automatic gearbox (wow so old they used line drawing to advertise it ) Worst car - soo many but the Mazda 808 comes to mind, clutch burnt out every wednesday morning, 1300cc's of pure crawling power, but the Alpine sound system, "hotdog" exhaust system (bet not too many remember them) and sunroof made it an overpriced bucket of sh1t . Dead ringer for mine zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Best Car - 1974 ZF Fairlane, V8, with luxury all round, cost a fortune to run, but who cares. (thats almost exactly it... except mine was pumped higher at the back Current Car - Au2 Falcon does the job comfy with enough power. Dream Car - Any Aston would do it.
Robsdee Posted 20 July 2012 Posted 20 July 2012 1st Car......... Mini Worst Car .....Allegro, horrid thing Best car.........Triumph GT6, beautiful Current.........C1, economic and reliable Dream car.....Dino
