burni Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 Kasper 7 - Clean sheet did what he needed to but wasn't as good as he can be in terms of confidence and distribution, very solid though Defence 7's Clean sheet and were fairly solid without being spectacular Marshall - 8.5, had an excellent game, barely put a foot wrong always being positive with the ball. BIG player for us next season wellens - 6.5, distinctly average Drinkwater - 7, not bad and got us the all important first goal dyer 7.5 - Struggled against the experiance of chimbonda but had a very positive game Nugent/Beckford 6.5, Lots of effort but very average Subs: seemed to all go missing for a bit but there was a nice combination for one of the goals, grew into the game more as it went on Overall we scored 4 goals and conceded none, lots of players other than nuge and becks took their chances which is whats needed for a promotion team GREAT VICTORY!
ScouseFox Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 Kasper 7 Pelts 7.5 Bamba 6.5 Morgan 7 Konchesky 5.5 - thought, for the first time all season, he was poor today Marshall 7.5 Wellens 6 Drinkwater 7 Dyer 6 Becks 6 Nuge 6
Guest Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 Subbies King - ... dare I say it? .... who? You know, that guy who set Gallagher up nicely for his goal. I'm not suggesting he was entirely effective but he certainly looked sharper towards the end of his time on the pitch.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 Good performance against a poor team, Should give us some momentum People still slating king? He played well for me, Man marking was good & his assist was a beauty!
Yojoe36 Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 You know, that guy who set Gallagher up nicely for his goal. We'll see when he gets more minuites in later games
Captain... Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 Yeah true. Maybe he just needed to settle in. We'll see when he gets more minuites in later games Are you seriously criticisng a guy making his return to the team after 4 months out injured, trying to play his way back to fitness, oh and got an assist from a neat bit of play with Gallagher. What does it take to impress you?
bluesbrothers Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 Schmeichel 5 - Few good saves but nothing to do, saved by woeful finishing from Donny at times. Peltier 7 - Showed quality going forward and yes, his goal was his. Maicon-vs-DPRK-esque! Needs to learn how to win a defensive header though. Morgan 8 - Beast, our biggest defensive threat going forward too. Bamba 8 - Typical bombscare Beckenbamba. He's just so... Bamba! Yes, that's a compliment. Konch 7 - A la Peltier, dangerous going forward. Confuses me when Drinkwater covers at LB, they're like clones. Dyer 6 - Not as visible today, but a decent shift and extra points for roughing up Diouf at one point. Wellens 7 - Past his dodgy spell now, remains solid and his passing helped open up the Donny defence. Just wish he'd shoot more. Drinkwater 8 - Solid, took his goal pretty well despite scuffing it and unlucky not to have a second. Tireless tracking back too. Marshall 8 - Last half hour was immense, topped with a sexy peach of a goal. Beckford 8 - Endless engine and selfless in attack and defence. Excellent game. Nugent 7 - Still looking knackered to me, but an excellent game in a suppliers position. Subs Schlupp 5 - Didn't really do much, but didn't do anything wrong. Gallagher 7 - Took goal well, looked busy and - SHOCK HORROR - I even saw him win a header. I thought the 2012 apocalypse was due to begin. King 7 - Lovely pass for Gally's strike, & he was like a little duracell bunny going around the pitch snapping at Donny's heels. Only a short cameo, but looked back to his best. Pearson 9 - Well, bottom of the table yes, but subs at the right time to keep the game by the scruff of the neck and push on for a big win. Well played.
Saxondale Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 Schmeichel 8 Peltier 8 - Improved performance, useful in attack Konchesky 8 - Good as always Morgan 8 - Beastly Bamba 8 - No probs Marshall 9 - Exciting to watch, scores whenever he feels like it Drinkwater 9 - Bossed the MF Wellens 8 - Good Dyer 8 - Always a threat Beckford 7 - Much improved all round game and could have scored a couple of times Nugent 8 - Massive work rate King 7 - Reasonable return Gallagher 7 - Good goal, put the work in Schlupp 7 - Lively little spell
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 Subbies King - ... dare I say it? .... who? He assisted a goal...
