I know "lefty's " was rather glib but you have to push buttons they understand while being careful not to let them rumble what your up to.

It's easy pickings on here , you only have to hint at a challenge to their intellect and they are like pavlov's dogs ringing bells everywhere.

So let me get this straight. A few guys (?) from another football site made the effort to register on this site, because their site is experiencing problems, in order to make posts with nothing to do about football in the City forum.

Why?

It's not back online yet.

apparently it is but it's S.L.O.W. !

Why would we want to talk football/City? Most of us remember watching football when it was entertaining and fun. We also remember being in proper stadium with real fans, a real atmosphere and decent chants.

It isn't the fault of the newer fans, they know no different, but we are from another time and another place where modern football and all that goes with it is far removed from the real thing.

I remember the good old days of Pleaty and the old wooden main stand at Filbo where you could usually pick your spot, in the wing stands at least. Rarely a problem, getting tickets home or away. And that star striker David Oldfield up front constantly scoring at will.

During the Pleat reign you could arrive at 2.45 park on one of the nearby streets, pay cash on entry and pick your spot.

I thought most of you remembered "football"

That was all going so well DIF, until you mentioned Daisy Oldfield scoring at will. That's not the way I remember it!

Seems Alzheimers may be a fascist linked disease.
