21st Century Fox Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 It's always heart warming to see seniors finding love later in life. (and using new technology to do it.)
Trav Le Bleu Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 ARF ARF ARF I like to think of myself as Pavlov's cat. Or is that Schrödinger's dog?
Guest Bilo Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 I know "lefty's " was rather glib but you have to push buttons they understand while being careful not to let them rumble what your up to. It's easy pickings on here , you only have to hint at a challenge to their intellect and they are like pavlov's dogs ringing bells everywhere.
deeply_intellectual_fox Posted 12 April 2012 Author Posted 12 April 2012 I guess all the sloganising photos is their (the left's) way of intellectually over compensating. :frantics:
Zingari Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 It's not back online yet. how come all you intellectuals can't run a feckin website ?
Guest Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 So let me get this straight. A few guys (?) from another football site made the effort to register on this site, because their site is experiencing problems, in order to make posts with nothing to do about football in the City forum. Why? It's not back online yet. apparently it is but it's S.L.O.W. !
Lobsterboyuk Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 It's not back online yet. It's very slow takes minutes to load each page - one post today from Mickeythehoss That's what happens when a tory is running the country

1964FOX Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 What's all this talk of leftie bashing. I like them as I am an underpaid over worked public service worker with a crap pension amd don't start me on the devil woman Thatcher.
filbertfoxy00 Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 So let me get this straight. A few guys (?) from another football site made the effort to register on this site, because their site is experiencing problems, in order to make posts with nothing to do about football in the City forum. Why? apparently it is but it's S.L.O.W. ! Why would we want to talk football/City? Most of us remember watching football when it was entertaining and fun. We also remember being in proper stadium with real fans, a real atmosphere and decent chants. It isn't the fault of the newer fans, they know no different, but we are from another time and another place where modern football and all that goes with it is far removed from the real thing.
deeply_intellectual_fox Posted 12 April 2012 Author Posted 12 April 2012 I remember the good old days of Pleaty and the old wooden main stand at Filbo where you could usually pick your spot, in the wing stands at least. Rarely a problem, getting tickets home or away. And that star striker David Oldfield up front constantly scoring at will.
davieG Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 I remember the good old days of Pleaty and the old wooden main stand at Filbo where you could usually pick your spot, in the wing stands at least. During the Pleat reign you could arrive at 2.45 park on one of the nearby streets, pay cash on entry and pick your spot.
filbertfoxy00 Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 That was all going so well DIF, until you mentioned Daisy Oldfield scoring at will. That's not the way I remember it!

I thought most of you remembered "football" That was all going so well DIF, until you mentioned Daisy Oldfield scoring at will. That's not the way I remember it! Seems Alzheimers may be a fascist linked disease.
deeply_intellectual_fox Posted 12 April 2012 Author Posted 12 April 2012 That was all going so well DIF, until you mentioned Daisy Oldfield scoring at will. That's not the way I remember it! That was just heavy sarcasm FF00. Oldfield was the Howard/Dire/Oakley/Wellens/Girlygher of his day.
deeply_intellectual_fox Posted 12 April 2012 Author Posted 12 April 2012 Even the exiled snail land lefties can't spot sarcasm.
Zingari Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 During the Pleat reign you could arrive at 2.45 park on one of the nearby streets, pay cash on entry and pick your spot. if you took your boots along , you had a good chance of getting a game .
deeply_intellectual_fox Posted 12 April 2012 Author Posted 12 April 2012 I had figured that one out DIF! I know very well you had FF .... but our benighted chum somewhere over the The English Channel hadn't. I assume he agrees with my 'modernising' of the Oldfield debate.
davieG Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 if you took your boots along , you had a good chance of getting a game . Nah! I was too old by then I should have taken McLintock up on his offer
