Seems like people can do stuff for free and don't need a penny...

Most Londoners I know think he is doing a fantastic job and he's massively odds on to be re-elected.

Although that might say something more about the opposition candidate than Boris himself. lol

I don't tend to travel much down there anymore, really don't like the place so it's irrelevant to me who wins. It's quite staggering these are the best two politicians they can find for the City of London though.

I don't really care who the candidates are or who wins and I live in London. I think the only noticeable thing that has happened since Boris got the job is the cycle sheme which was apparently Ken's idea anyway.

If it was Ken's idea he would have implemented it, I'm sure of that.

He didn't get a chance because he lost the election to BoJo.

He had long enough really didn't he?

Apparently it was a Lib Dem idea they took to Ken a year into his time in office, he dragged his heels on it for years, Boris inherited it. Officially Ken announced it back in 2008.

Apparently it was raised in 2001 by some Lib Dem but then it was sat on for a few years before Ken asked TfL to assess its feasibility in 2007. He launched the idea in the media at the start of 2008 before Boris took over after winning the elections in May of that year.

So yeah Ken sat on his arse doing fvck all about it for ages but he did get the ball rolling. It certainly wasn't Boris' idea.

For the record I don't particularly like either of them and am not too bothered who wins as it really doesn't impact me. I don't even use those bikes and that's the only thing I've actually noticed them do!

This debate is quite frightening on sky, Boris earns 500,000 and has obviously just received a tax break and Ken has been forced to admit he earns around 200,000 but most of it is funnelled through his company so he only pays 31%.

I don't know how they have the nerve.

Edit: more bizarre stuff at 9 o clock, BNP candidate ex BBC world service presenter and Uruguyan national Carlos Cortiglia lol

Please remove personalities and get back to policies.

I'd have thought that running one of the world's most important cities would be a job for someone not bound by party politics, someone who has cross-party beliefs and values and who can lead in an open and fair manner.

The fact that there will be a wedge of people voting for the party and not the policies damns the entire process in my book.
