heatherfox Posted 24 April 2012 Posted 24 April 2012 I'm not sure what people want, is it Terry (where's the money gone) Shipman, Martin (why are'nt you spending all the weetabix money) George, John (lets just spend,spend,spend 'till were ****ed) Elsom, Tim (haven't got a pot to piss in cause Elsom spent it all) Davies, Milan (I haven't actually got the money to back up all my claims) Mandaric or the Thai owners who have (repeatedly) given backing to this club. I'm not saying we should be complacent but of all the owners we have had over the last 20 odd years the Thai's are head and shoulders above any of the others in terms of backing the club financially. Yes there are risks but what do you expect a billionaire Leicester fan who just happens to want to bank-roll the club - good luck with that! For me lets just enyjoy the ride and have a little faith in what Top and Susan say in terms of being here for the long term. Up the City

If the negatives manage to force Pearson out, there's no guarantee we will get a better manager. If they manage to force the Raksriaksorns out...then the club is well and truly f******d !! So I would urge people to have a think and do what they think is right...rather than pandering to their childish urges to throw their teddies every 5 minutes.

Well, like I say fan ownership is the only way forward for me (although I realise that's sadly unlikely to ever happen in England). I'm sorry if I sound prejudiced but I'll always be wary of anyone who wants to use our club as a stocking-filler for their son - whether they're English, Thai or whatever.

seenitall Posted 24 April 2012 Posted 24 April 2012 Back to the generosity of the owners - you can buy blank DVD's for 23p each on Amazon, so their gesture of 20,000 free DVD's cost them £4,600 for the blanks and maybe the same again to put the content on, so a £10,000 gesture, or 2.5 days wages for Nige or about 1.5 days for most of the first team. Its a gesture, yes a small one, but nevertheless a gesture. Sure they could have paid off the mortgage of everyone in Leicestershire and that would have been a truly 'wonderful' gesture BUT its a business so you don't don't do that type of thing. As I've said previously - what do you want?
