Uncle Phil Posted 1 June 2012 Posted 1 June 2012 There's talk of Italy withdrawing amid the match fixing shananigans. Criscito has been sent home, and maybe one or two others will be. Anyone think they'll actually withdraw? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18299713
Jimothy Posted 1 June 2012 Posted 1 June 2012 They probably should, but it's a bit late now. Who would replace them?

Jimothy Posted 1 June 2012 Posted 1 June 2012 He's good but I'm not sure he could take on Spain, Croatia and Ireland on his own.
AKCJ Posted 1 June 2012 Posted 1 June 2012 Well they're getting spanked 3-0 at home to Russia at the moment
Finnegan Posted 1 June 2012 Posted 1 June 2012 Seriously, though, why should they have to withdraw? Unless there's evidence that they're tampering with results on an international level then the state of their domestic game is irrelevant isn't it?
Narborough_fox Posted 1 June 2012 Posted 1 June 2012 Highest points scorers in the group stages qualify. Would go to Bosnia and Herzegovina. I think.
Kitchandro Posted 1 June 2012 Posted 1 June 2012 It doesn't bode well for their chances that the manager would be happy to withdraw
The Doctor Posted 1 June 2012 Posted 1 June 2012 Why does this scream mind games at me? I can't shake the feeling they're making a mountain out of a molehill to come in as underdogs in disarray, thus removing the pressure on them and trying to distract the opposition managers.

Probably right, they do this before every one
