Stadt Posted 16 November 2013 Posted 16 November 2013 Surely you need a plan to give you a business? Not have a business to find a plan?I have neither!
Fox92 Posted 16 November 2013 Posted 16 November 2013 I've been thinking about setting up a business or a website, I'm 15 (16 this month) so I literally have no overheads at all - the only problem, I have no idea what to do! I study website development at Uni. Just saying (just incase )

Think of something you enjoy doing and work out if you can make money doing it.* *Disregard masturbating straight away.

Stadt Posted 16 November 2013 Posted 16 November 2013 I'm thinking gaming in particular fifa but the market is quite saturated.
Guest MattP Posted 18 November 2013 Posted 18 November 2013 I'm thinking gaming in particular fifa but the market is quite saturated. Any saturated market on the Internet will be impossible to get into unless you have serious amounts of cash to invest in advertising and SEO coding. I tried a football betting site out 2-3 years ago and was struggling for a hundred hits a day even after 6 months.

Thanks, there's a few decent sites but the majority are dreadful but I'll probably avoid Fifa.
Rincewind Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 My sister has a furniture making business in Workington. Linden Upholstery. She started off as a worker then one of the bosses packed in and she bought his shares. Then later on the other one said he wanted to take a back seat in the business and she said she didn't want to be running it and have to keep calling him up to make decisions so she became the major shareholder. They don't have too many workers. A macinist a cutter and builder but they all muck in in and can do other jobs. They have a shop and factory. She says it ticks over to be able to pay all the staff. Can't really afford to expand because it would mean more staff and the customer base to cover it could not be guarenteed. Her fiance goes in early to open up she goes in later and stops till about six.. They make and cover settees etc but she wont do DFS because when they fall to bits she don't want to be blamed. The things they do are the upmarket furniture. They can deliver if you need anything. Not sure how far. Might cost extra to transport to Leicester.

So, your sister is now at the boardroom table in a furniture business after her boss took a back seat in the settee factory? Couldn't make it up. Still, good on her for getting her feet under the table after he parked his well-upholstered arse.
