Only Positives!

4 – Just four bookings for the Foxes so far. This time last season the card count stood at 10 yellow and two red. It’s early days, but perhaps Nigel Pearson has managed to install some disciple into a side that was given marching orders more often last season than any Leicester team in history.

17 – No fewer than 17 Championship sides (now including Blackpool) have failed to score in at least one league match. Not Leicester. The Foxes have found the net in every game and whist there were still chances yesterday that should have been converted it’s clear the Leicester team that failed to score 10 times last season is showing positive signs of improvement.

39 – Before yesterday Leicester had won more corners (25) than any other side in the division. Another 14 added to the tally means that’s almost certainly still to case. Ben Marshall’s short corner caused Blackpool some problems in the first half yesterday but Wes Morgan’s opener against Peterborough remains Leicester’s only goal from these set pieces.

2 wins and 2 defeats is better than 4 boring draws and also gives us a positive GD

With regards to the enormous volume of corners we're winning, a lot of it down to the number of chances we're creating and the opposition scrambling it away or palming it out

With regard to scoring from the corners, and by extension, Marshall's high number of crosses we need to gamble on the second ball better... the ball is always going to fall somewhere whether Nuge/Vardy gets the header or a defender does, quite often yesterday it was a Blackpool player who got to the knockdowns first to scramble it clear

Sorting out disciplinary problems that cost us so much last year is a great thing

If we keep scoring we'll win plenty... and we have 2 clean sheets at home out of 2, just need to replicate the levels of concentration and effort we showed on the road

Very good point about discipline cost us a lot of points last season, numerous reds costing us matches then suspensions, most notably Danns just as we were hitting some form, and Mills.

As for corners, Drinkwater and Marshall should always head over to take a short one, they either have to commit 2 defenders to cover it, or we can do what Marshall did yesterday, neither are going to cause problems in the air. If we can be more prolific from set pieces then we will be able to win games when not at our best.

We've got the best defence in the league, our first choice strikers are extremely potent and have a great understanding and in Anthony Knockaert we are blessed with arguably the Championship's most exciting player.
