I am Rod Hull Posted 11 September 2012 Posted 11 September 2012 I have to be honest here, I'd find it amazing if a headteacher accepted a pupil wearing his uniform like that. When you aren't wearing your tie properly, can't be bothered to do up your top button and your shirt is un-ironed; the uniform looks so scruffy the notion almost becomes redundant. Lets face it, Christian Dior couldn`t make that look smart...
Guest Bilo Posted 11 September 2012 Posted 11 September 2012 Lets face it, Christian Dior couldn`t make that look smart... Disagree. Run an iron over his shirt, teach him how to tie a tie properly, tuck his shirt in and fasten his top button. Those very basic steps would make a huge difference. It's his lackadaisical way of wearing his uniform that makes him look scruffy and draws attention to his weight, wearing it correctly would detract from it.

Guest Bilo Posted 11 September 2012 Posted 11 September 2012 Makes you wonder what lengths you should go to as a head teacher when kids are leaving the class room every 3 minutes to go to the toilet (or rather send a text) and phones cause issues as they are valuable and end up nicked or smashed which leads to complaints. Shoes too - trainers cause division and are often nicked and taken......... Not saying this head teacher is going about things the right way, I just maybe understand what has led to why she has made the decisions she has........ Ah, some balance. It's like lowering yourself into a warm bath of common sense.
z-layrex Posted 11 September 2012 Posted 11 September 2012 To be honest, maybe this OTT discipline is needed to control some of the scum who infest British schools these days. If 40 kids turn up to school in trainers too ****ing right they were sent home. Look at that kid, what a ****ing mess.

And it's easily solved,,, march him down to the textiles room, pass him an iron so he can iron his own shirt, pass him a needle and thread so he can sew on any missing buttons and sew up the hems on his trousers, and don't let him go for his lunch until he's perfected the art of tying his tie. I'm guessing it wouldn't take too long to get the message across. Job done.
21st Century Fox Posted 11 September 2012 Posted 11 September 2012 Very smarts. Is that Pope Benny receiving his Racial Purity and Camp Fire Building badges?
Daggers Posted 12 September 2012 Author Posted 12 September 2012 Very smarts. You can criticise the gags in their stand-up routines all you want...but they sure were snappy dressers.
sphericalfox Posted 15 September 2012 Posted 15 September 2012 Couldn't find a teacher/teaching thread, so I thought I'd share this somewhere:
