Ashley Posted 4 November 2012 Author Posted 4 November 2012 What betsite you using there, im on skybet at the moment but thinking of changing. The phone app looks simple to use also on whatever your using Look in the address bar Bet365 mate can't go wrong.
Matt Posted 4 November 2012 Posted 4 November 2012 I'd love to take part in one of the challenge's but you need a decent stake the start with, I have done 3 £10 bets now on fairly decent teams, lost every time, so you need a decent stake to start with and I can't buy a winner, I can't buy money, i'm out.
Ashley Posted 5 November 2012 Author Posted 5 November 2012 Had £22.00 on a first half Asian Handicap -0.5, 0. Stayed the same score so half stake refunded. On bet two again now. £11.00 on ?/?

Ashley Posted 5 November 2012 Author Posted 5 November 2012 West Brom -1 on the asian handicap is 1.25/1 at most placed. Might be worth a flutter. Asian or European Rob?
Maybes Posted 5 November 2012 Posted 5 November 2012 Asian or European Rob? Asian mate. European is like 1.8/1. Think they will beat Southampton, but whether it's by one or more I'm not sure.
Ashley Posted 5 November 2012 Author Posted 5 November 2012 £11 on a 20/21 returned £21.48 so currently 52p down for the day researching bets for later today and tomorrow. These next few days could potentially be good with Champions League games and Europa League games. X amount of games for 1.5 goals needed for odds of evens or higher... Anyone else joining in with me?
BoneDog Posted 5 November 2012 Posted 5 November 2012 Look in the address bar Bet365 mate can't go wrong. Was that Al Ahly an in-play bet or pre match? I lost my first bet as Man City didn't win. Will have a look later to start again. Will most likely start again tonight when I get back from Tescos.
ScouseFox Posted 5 November 2012 Posted 5 November 2012 I've just stuck £10 on West Brom to beat Southampton @ 1.84. Close enough to evens to call that my first bet on this.

ScouseFox Posted 5 November 2012 Posted 5 November 2012 I've just stuck £10 on West Brom to beat Southampton @ 1.84. Close enough to evens to call that my first bet on this. Couldn't resist another £10 in-play when they touched almost evens. So my actual bet 1 of this challenge is £20 on WBA @ 1.9. Debating cashing out before the end of the game though . Always get scared and tempted when I see the green and hit the button before it turns red.

Technically you'll be on bet two along with me. Tomorrow, Wedneaday & Thursday could be gold mines. EDIT: BET WON Scouse, you best not of got out else ill slap you.
ScouseFox Posted 5 November 2012 Posted 5 November 2012 Don't you dare. Technically you'll be on bet two along with me. Tomorrow, Wedneaday & Thursday could be gold mines. Haha. Was very close to cashing out just before Saints hit the bar and decided that was fate, let it run and as I'm typing it's 2-0. Good stuff. Yeah, loads of games over the coming days, bound to be a decent bit of value around (such as WBA at 1.9 at home today!). Will try and keep it updated in this thread. Might get a bit scared once we move past £100, should it get that far, though haha. Not used to such big time betting!
Maybes Posted 5 November 2012 Posted 5 November 2012 West Brom -1 on the asian handicap is 1.25/1 at most placed. Might be worth a flutter. Glad I heeded my own advice. £20 on at 5/4. Good stuff.
BoneDog Posted 5 November 2012 Posted 5 November 2012 Bet 1 - Tsonga to win a set against Djokovic. Bet 1 failed (I wasn't confident on that one anyway!). Started again, here's bet 1 for tomorrow. It's a treble @ 1.1/1 Couldn't resist another £10 in-play when they touched almost evens. So my actual bet 1 of this challenge is £20 on WBA @ 1.9. Debating cashing out before the end of the game though . Always get scared and tempted when I see the green and hit the button before it turns red. What's this early cashing out malarkey? Never heard of it.
ScouseFox Posted 5 November 2012 Posted 5 November 2012 What's this early cashing out malarkey? Never heard of it. If you use Betfair (exchanges as opposed to normal bookies) you can back a bet or lay a bet. If you back something you're betting on it TO WIN, if you lay a bet you're betting on that thing to NOT WIN. Tonight, for example, I put £20 on West Brom @ 9/10, so stood to win £38 if they won and I left it to the end of the match. But on Betfair you can cashout before the end of the bet if you aren't confident. So whilst it was only 1-0 there's always a chance of last minute heart break and a losing bet etc. If you choose to cashout, you guarantee profit (obviously not as much as if you let the bet run for a whole game) by betting on something not to win at much shorter odds in-play. If I'd have got scared and cashed out at 1-0 I'd have guaranteed myself £28 no matter what the result, but I let it run and obviously ended up winning anyway. Don't think that's explained very well, there's a video somewhere I'll find now and it'll probably be easier to get than that.
ScouseFox Posted 5 November 2012 Posted 5 November 2012 Probably easier with the visual. Just means you can take a bit of money and run if it's starting to look like what you've backed isn't gonna happen.
BoneDog Posted 5 November 2012 Posted 5 November 2012 That sounds like a good thing for me, might try and join Betfair soon. Think I'd end up taking the money early quite often. I don't like the pressure of waiting for a bet to come in.

Ashley Posted 6 November 2012 Author Posted 6 November 2012 I did my £21 yesterday on West Brom to get the 12th corner in the game v Southampton which lost proper mug bet Started again today £5 at 2.00 returned £10.
whoareyaaa Posted 6 November 2012 Posted 6 November 2012 Will start this today, placed £10 on Oxford to win @ 10/11.
ScouseFox Posted 6 November 2012 Posted 6 November 2012 League 2 looks like it could be a money maker tonight. Oxford (home to Daggers), Port Vale (home to Rochdale) & York (home to Northampton) all @ evens. Port Vale have lost just once at home since March, and that was against league leaders Gillingham. York aren't doing too badly and Dagenham & Redbridge are not very good at all. Think that's where my money might be tonight. Not much value in the CL that I can find.
