SilverFox Posted 20 July 2005 Posted 20 July 2005 If We see Weso before the end of the season we'll be extremely lucky, I would love it if it's against Hull in March. Best game of my life. 140902 Posted this on another forum. My missus is a Surgeon and sees this type of thing quite a lot...well at least she did when she was working in A&E My missus says it will be 4-6 weeks in plaster...pins or not, and anything up to 12 months of rehabilitation for an injury of this kind. She also said that she has seen sports people not come back from this. There comes a certain kind of psychological blow with an injury of this type. Weso might not want to put himself in a position where this type of thing could happen again...thus he wouldn't be the same player. I'd like to castrate Balde!!!
SilverFox Posted 20 July 2005 Posted 20 July 2005 Yes, thats why I posted it matey! 140955 ok thanks for that 140957 No probs!
Collymore Posted 20 July 2005 Posted 20 July 2005 I think Weso would be to hungry for him not to get back on the saddle. My mate had a horrific leg break playing football when he was younger, he had 3 operations and they didn't know if he would walk again let alone play football. It took him 3 years before he could kick a ball and he had terrible psychological problems with going into tackles. Weso will be different though, he sounds like a tough cookie and is obviously a very talented football, There will be loads of pros around him with similar experiences who will be invaluable in his rehabilitation. I'm sure the club its self will send him to the best people in the world to help his rehabilitation on a both physical and mental level.

Regarding treatment, it might be difficult for him to get any help from the club what with Lee Morris taking up the treatment table most of the day
EmLeee Posted 20 July 2005 Author Posted 20 July 2005 SilverFox - do you plan to sign the card/letter thing?
SilverFox Posted 20 July 2005 Posted 20 July 2005 Already sent one this morning, but if you want to you can add my best wishes!
LoneWolf Posted 20 July 2005 Posted 20 July 2005 he is going to be happy seeing that fans like him, in the card you shoudl also put ''dont move to a bigger team if they come in for you!!''
EmLeee Posted 20 July 2005 Author Posted 20 July 2005 the poor guy will be in tears when he reads it!
Ric Flair Posted 20 July 2005 Posted 20 July 2005 As I said a few months ago when I called for Weso to be included in the first team, he has an unbelievable mental strength which Levein has outlined. If the leg heals then he'll be the same player he was because he's fearless. I just hope there's no complications as it's a serious injury. Hearing stories about that Kennedy at Celtic who was injured 18 months ago and is still having operations now! I think we should all send the lad a card. £1.50 maximum to show this lad our thoughts are with him and that he's got everything to fight for to get back in the team.
Donkworld Posted 20 July 2005 Posted 20 July 2005 Please add my best wishes to the card. On a night when there was so much to be optimistic about, it was a terrible blow to both the player and the club. Wessa's progression to the first team has been a real bonus and until that 'tackle' last night, I thought he was the best player on the field - quite a compliment when you think of some of the big names on show. If it is a lengthy injury, and I really fear it might be, let's hope his next game for us will be back in the Premiership where be belong. Good luck mate, we're all thinking of you......
davieG Posted 20 July 2005 Posted 20 July 2005 We'll be waiting for you Weso you bastard - davieg OK, Ok it's alright apparently it's a term of endearment in Aussieland, perhaps one of our foxiles can confirm. Aussie Slang
