Guest Posted 1 January 2013 Posted 1 January 2013 Why don't the city buy out their money problems and use them as a second team/feeder club? Surely more interesting than a reserves/ under 14s team;
stevelcfc Posted 1 January 2013 Posted 1 January 2013 We should just loan them some of our youth players, as they only named two sub ones is a keeper who has played upfront a few times this term for them, plus it gives our youth guys some experience.
Voll Blau Posted 1 January 2013 Posted 1 January 2013 Not really comfortable with the idea of clubs buying other clubs. The Man City/Hyde thing doesn't sit right with me at all.
Guest Posted 1 January 2013 Posted 1 January 2013 Hinckley Yeah sorry about that. Once owned a house on Hinckley Road - just a typing mistake.

I think every league club should be able to have a legitimate feeder club which would help both the small clubs and the bigger ones.

To some extent I agree and it makes sense to help support local non-leagueclubs, but the problem is too many greedy big clubs would absorb their feeder clubs to the extent they would cease to have separate identities and your Hinckley Uniteds etc would just become Leicester City 2nd XI.
Leicesterpool Posted 2 January 2013 Posted 2 January 2013 Wouldn't really be fair, it would be Leicester reserves in disguise!
Bayfox Posted 2 January 2013 Posted 2 January 2013 They do that in Spain don't they? No. Barca. Real etc have b teams that play in the league system. But as they are ran as such they aren't allowed to be promoted to la liga.
Guest Bilo Posted 2 January 2013 Posted 2 January 2013 Not the worst idea in the world considering their financial problems, but as VB rightly says it'd be all too easy for us to enforce Leicester City's identity on them which doesn't seem right to me. Well, either or that or make them another walking advert for Thai duty free.
