Brenfox Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 Please post what you have & where you've been. I got a fairly decent caravan which last year took us to Wolvey!!! Derbyshire & Nottingham. Also had a lovely ten day break in Looe then onto Brean Sands. I love to just be able to get away for a weekend With minimal planning.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 14 January 2013 Posted 14 January 2013 Only camp at Festivals other than that camping requires to much planning and too relient on decent weather.
flowwolf Posted 14 January 2013 Posted 14 January 2013 It is now mate :D where's big John when you need him !
The People's Hero Posted 14 January 2013 Posted 14 January 2013 There is a Caravan site near me in Maidstone. Possibly too far for you to come - and I'm not sure why anyone would want to come to Maidstone, but the site itself is meant to be lovely. Failing that I have nothing to contribute other than to say - GO FOR IT.
absolutelegend Posted 14 January 2013 Posted 14 January 2013 I got a fairly decent caravan which last year took us to Wolvey!!! Derbyshire & Nottingham. WTF would you go camping to Nottingham?
MooseBreath Posted 14 January 2013 Posted 14 January 2013 Bought some kit back in 2009 in preparation for that free weekend when the weather is hot and dry. Still waiting.
Brenfox Posted 14 January 2013 Author Posted 14 January 2013 WTF would you go camping to Nottingham? If I told you the reason I'd get slated so I will leave it there
Webbo Posted 14 January 2013 Posted 14 January 2013 My wife bought me a tent for my birthday 6/7 years ago ( ) so we had to go camping August bank holiday. She did nothing but moan all weekend. We haven't been since.
Carl the Llama Posted 14 January 2013 Posted 14 January 2013 Not the thread I was expecting. Carry on.
Guest MattP Posted 14 January 2013 Posted 14 January 2013 Do people still go camping? Honestly thought that was a thing of the past, not seen a campsite for years. One of my earliest memories is watching Carry on Camping mind, I wouldn't have minded going on something like that.
foz.foz Posted 14 January 2013 Posted 14 January 2013 It don't float my boat, but my old man used to be off as often as possible in his caravan, all over the country. I think the appeal is just getting away from all the shit you deal with through out the week. Only camping I did was @ Glastonbury or if there was a kiteing festival on around the country. Think the only camping todays generation know is on COD or BF3........... I'll get me coat.
