davieG Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 I recently ordered online and received today a number of downlighter conversion kits. When I came to fit the 1st one I found the brass insert in the terminal block split so I couldn't clamp the mains cable tightly. I went to the website found an email address and posted off the details of the problem at 2.15am. At 2.49 pm I received an apology and information that a replacement would be despatched, a minute later i got an order confirmation email to say it had been processed and it would be dispatched shortly. This is the first only item I've purchased from this company. www.tlc-direct.co.uk Now that's customer service!
Steven Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 I would have posted this once the replacement was in my hands.
davieG Posted 21 January 2013 Author Posted 21 January 2013 I would have posted this once the replacement was in my hands. Probably correct but i was suffering from post traumatic stress symptoms.
davieG Posted 23 January 2013 Author Posted 23 January 2013 It's in my hands. Fantastic customer care.
AoWW Posted 23 January 2013 Posted 23 January 2013 It seems from the lack of posts you're the only one to experience good customer service, though!
z-layrex Posted 23 January 2013 Posted 23 January 2013 Ive started going to a new tattoo place in Crawley based on the good things i'd heard and was sick of the attitude of my old one. Ive just had quite a lot of work done, and for.some reason I went mad and used E45 on the outlines while they healed before the shading work (a massive no no as it draws out the ink). They fixed the whole thing for free despite my idiocy, thats 4 hours of work which would have cost 240 quid (which at 60 an hour is acually now cheap in the south east). Being tattoo'd over freshly scarred skin was recompence enough I guess . Even gave me a beer after. Anyway, brilliant service. Isnt it sad how service is now so bad in the UK good service pleases us so much...

Bellend Sebastian Posted 23 January 2013 Posted 23 January 2013 I got some pretty good service in a mobile phone shop yesterday, the last place I would have expected to get that
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 23 January 2013 Posted 23 January 2013 I got excellent customer service from Wilson Carpet Underlays a few weeks ago - not only were they really helpful and amazingly responsive, but they had the best prices I could find online and did a massive delivery for just £10 (elsewhere was all £50+) Thoroughly recommend them if anyone's in the market for underlay or carpet tools
lucymountain Posted 23 January 2013 Posted 23 January 2013 John Lewis will always provide the best customer service, no matter which branch you go to. Other stores need to take a leaf out of their book!
Guest MattP Posted 23 January 2013 Posted 23 January 2013 The Hugo Boss shop in towns customer service is superb, they made me a cup of tea whilst I was trying on some shirts in there. I like little things like that.
