Stearman, Mattock, Grady, Gradel, Oakes, Sheehan, Petrescu, Heskey, Weslowski(sp?) , Dawson, Gradel, Logan, King, Sheehan .... they've all come through the Youth Squad and played at Championship level and above.

Alright the standard has improved and a lot wouldn't orvaren't playing now but I don't think we have the worlds worst academy setup.

 

Not a single career Premier League player in the bunch then apart from Emile? That is not good for a club that has the aspirations that ours does.

And you can't really count Petrescu as Championship level when his only game was a 10 minute cameo and he hasn't even been capped by a nation like Finland.

Forgot to add, the current squad has a few academy players in - Schlupp, Moore, King, Logan, Panayiotou, Hooper, Smith, Taft.

 

Most are back up or young but at least they are being given a chance in and around the first team.
