Well the possible signings of Danny Ings and Conor Chaplin are not inspiring much confidence. Both have been good players up to 2/3/4 years ago but scored nothing lately. Could come good in league 1 but a big ask. If a couple of young prospects were signed to complement these two with Evans too, it might change matters.

Nelson will become a fantastic player. He needs decent footballers around him to help him develop. Get him signed on a long term contract and he will become a £30m asset rather than a £3m desperation sale.

Soutter and Nelson should be the foundations of our defence this coming season.
