Kitchandro Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Our standard currently being one win in ten Kitch? As I said earlier, would you rather see Wellens over Danns in a five man midfield? Our current standard is still 5th in the league, and we should be aiming for higher, not stooping to Danns' level. If our midfield isn't quite good enough for promotion we'll need to address that at some point but going backwards with Danns isn't the answer. Honestly? I'm sure we all agree Wellens isn't the long term answer but I can't say I'd want Danns in any more than I want him in.
daddylonglegs Posted 16 March 2013 Author Posted 16 March 2013 the guy can play. derby away, chelsea away....
foxesfan1989 Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 I would bring back Danns personally. Our CMs aren't up to it at the moment.
savillefoxes Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 I suggested bringing him back in a post last week just like you have and boy your replies are more polite than what were on my post
savillefoxes Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 People forget that he was our best player from the chelsea game last season so some of the comments on here about him are a little unjust
Kitchandro Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Didn't Junior Lewis have a blinder against Chelsea once?

Callabinho Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Talent? Don't you need to be able to pass to be talented?
gazfox9 Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 What a long time in football one season is. Last time out at Derby, Neil Danns absolutely ran the show and was easily our best player. Possibly his best performance in a City shirt. This. That game was proof enough Neil Danns isn't a poor footballer. He'd improve our midfield considerably atm, an area we've been losing out in recently.
dog_4 Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Nigel tried sign him at Hull before deciding on us! Its to do with massive wages and reducing our deficits!
dannythefox Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Good player and he should easy be on the bench but you dont know whats happened behind closed doors.
Steven Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Didn't Junior Lewis have a blinder against Chelsea once? I sponsored him on the back of this.
RonnieTodger Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 He was our best player by a country-mile in the second-half of last season. How short people's memories are. I'm not saying he should be back in our XI but he's not "average at best", or shit.
Kitchandro Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 He was our best player by a country-mile in the second-half of last season. How short people's memories are. I'm not saying he should be back in our XI but he's not "average at best", or shit. He's not shit, but he does play shit a lot. I think average is pretty much right. He's had a handful of good games and was one of our best players in that run of games where we were a very uninspiring, average side. But for most of his time with us he's been poor or ineffective. One swallow does not make a summer. We've imrpoved since then and we shouldn't be desperate to get average players back. Pearson made a mistake not bringing in another midfielder earlier IMO, but Danns is just an average player who we've sent out on loan. People certainly wouldn't be desperate for him back if he was actually a Huddersfield player, that I'm sure of.
