Tielemans63 Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 I reckon Wellens, Gally, Futacs, Waggy and maybe even Danns and Konch will be either free or a nominal fee (prob less than £250k) just to get them off the wage bill. I'd be very surprised if SSL & Beckford went for any more than about £750k.
Ely fox Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 From what I've seen of Schlupp we'd be lucky to get 1m for him, he is so far from the finished article at the moment. Think your right. Someone on here being very silly and saying he was worth 8 million
Gazza M Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 As much as it hurts, I firmly believe that we will have to sell Kasper this summer. That is down to the financial fair play. He must be on good wages and also we can raise 2-3M to invest in to buying players in/wages etc, by selling him. We also have assets in Beckford/Danns/St Ledger, who I think we can raise another combined 2-3 million from, again helping our financial casue. Other players to chop would be for me: Whitbread, Gallagher, Wellens, Vardy, Futacs, Konchesky. Possibly we may have to pay one or two off to get rid, but we may raise possibly another 0.5 - 1 M for that lot. So potentially we could raise 6-7 million to invest in 6 or 7 replacements. I feel that we may have to utilise the season long loan route also to get through the fair play restrictions. E.G. Keane back on a season long loan. So looking at it at, I think some financial juggling needs to be done, but we could realistically break even in terms of buying with what we have brought in to the club. I know its off the subject, but I would invest 2m of that to try and get Kevin Doyle in from relegated Wolves. He is a proven goalscorer at this level.
The Doctor Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 Think your right. Someone on here being very silly and saying he was worth 8 million If Zaha is worth 15m and Carroll 35m then no reason we shouldn't get over 5m for Schlupp though. C'mon, he's got to be worth more because he's German/Ghanaian, not English, and therefore has some degree of talent about him
Ely fox Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 Helps that he wont play for England, but I still reckon Zaha is miles better. If Schlupp proves himself next season I can see his valuation increasing. Carroll going for 35 million he is a big donkey!
BlueFox55 Posted 16 May 2013 Posted 16 May 2013 As much as I don't want Kasper to leave, Would definitely take 5 million for him which I think is realistic, any less we should keep. St ledger, Danns, Beckford, wellens, futacs and possibly gally will more than likely be packing their bags, probably for no more than a combined 2/2.5 million Selling vardy would be worth less, would not improve on 1 million so might as well give him another go.
