Ely fox Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 Kasper 3mil King 4mil Schlupp 4.5mil Gallagher 750k Futacs - 250k Vardy - Loan/750k Waghorn - Is his contract up? if not 800k Wellens - 250k Beckford - 1mil Danns - 750k Nugent - 2mil Koncheskey - 500k SSL - 1.5mil These are the players that are either linked away from the club or our big money earner who we could easily be wanting to let go of These are totally wrong valuations imo no way would king sell for 4 million. I reckon about 1.2 million tops. We wouldn't get 800 k for waghorn either cos he is pants. Most of those guesses are way out I reckon!
harpendenfox Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 I believe Wellens and Waghorn are out of contract come June 1st
stillwater Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 Just my humble opinion on who should stay and who should go. Kasper keep King sell if sensible offer Schlupp keep Gallagher Sell Futacs - sell Vardy - Sell Waghorn - Sell Wellens - sell Beckford - sell Danns - sell Nugent - keep Koncheskey - keep SSL - keep Whitbread - sell Morgan - Keep De late - sell if money's right Knockeart - keep James -Keep Drink water - sell Dyer - keep Wood - Keep Logan- sell Moore -Keep Pearson-- Get rid, Reason for Pearson going is that we have a lot of rebuilding to do so might as well get a decent manager in, think he has proven he isn't up to it.
Goddard Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 Erm what's with the schlupp disillusion? We would get £2m tops for him and that's pushing it.
LCFC FOX Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 King is a legend, we would not take less than 4million for him, the rest how are they not realistic? Just because they have not performed for us this season it doesn't make teams not want them
Goddard Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 Why would someone want a player that hasn't played well over the duration of a season for a title contending side?
seenitall Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 We are not a selling club and so I would expect £5m for Kasper, £5m for King and £8m for Schlupp (especially if Zaha is worth £15m) Only because we rarely have anyone good enough to sell - rest assured if we did they'd be gone like a shot........ £2m Kasper £1.5m King £1m Schlupp We're still likely to get more for Beckford than most of our current first team.....what does that tell you
Wymsey Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 We're still likely to get more for Beckford than most of our current first team.....what does that tell you What do you base this on then?
seenitall Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 What do you base this on then? Experience of following football for years - the guy is scoring, scored before he came to us (in the Premier League) lost his form under Pearson essentially and that has been seen with many players. DJ campbell was in the same boat and went to Blackpool and ended up in the Prem after a great season for them (wasn't good enough for us though). Bolton (and I dare say a few others) will be looking at him and thinking if he can bang them in for Huddersfield then he could do a job for us (except Nige who always knows best) Bet we get £1.5 -£2m for him - after the second half of this season only Kasper can hold is own fee wise and keepers rarely fetch massive money.
Grewks Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 Some of these figures I think are miles off. Have you not understood anything about FFP? Do you really think we'd get 1.5 mill for SSL? And 4 mill for King? I wouldn't be surprised if SSL gets released on a free and King would command 2 million tops. Wellens 250k? He'll go for free... I wouldn't even be surprised to see Danns and Beckford go for peanuts. I'm expecting to see us offload quite a few players this season for next to nothing. I think a lot of clubs are in the same position. A lot of big players for certain clubs are out of contract, baptiste and trotter are just 2 to name a few. There are a number of players we could sign for cheap, as i said above, baptiste is on a free and would improve the squad, likewise zakuani who is transfer listed. Interesting pre-season for us. Hope nige can get some of these free agents, like he did with koren at hull.

We have been trying to give him away for 9 months and no one will take him. His wages mean no one will shell out a fee. The guy was scoring in the pl yet the club who got rid had no strikers and were offloading for just over 2mill. We should have seen the warnings signs then.
Tielemans63 Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 Interesting pre-season for us. Hope nige can get some of these free agents, like he did with koren at hull. I honestly think if we had signed Koren, he may well have made the difference between promotion success and failure. His experience would have been crucial.
Tielemans63 Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 We'll do well to get rid of SSL, Wellens, Gally, Beckford purely because of the wages they're on. We may be in the truly shit position of having to supplement their wages at another club just to get shot of them.
Danizen Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 Schmeichel - 2 million De Laet 1 million Morgan 1 million Ssl/Whitbread - 500K Konchesky - ' ' Knockaert 2.5m King 2.5m James 2m Dyer 50p Nugent 500K Wood 1.2M Waghorn 500K Whitbread worth a million times more thn Lloyd Dyer?! Harsh.
gotwood Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 Trying to be realistic... Don't think we will sell too many tho, just a few additions really Kasper 2m King 2m Schlupp 3m+adds (on sell%) Gallagher 500k Futacs - 200k Vardy - Loan Wellens - free Beckford - 850k Danns - 500k Nugent - 1m Koncheskey - 500k SSL - 1m Waggy - 500k
Vlad the Fox Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 If schlupp does go there is going to be uproar on here looking at some of the valuations put on him.
hackneyfox Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 From what I've seen of Schlupp we'd be lucky to get 1m for him, he is so far from the finished article at the moment.
Guest Col city fan Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 From what I've seen of Schlupp we'd be lucky to get 1m for him, he is so far from the finished article at the moment. It all depends whether clubs see potential in him. United have just spent 15 mill on Zaha. He's quality IMO but by no means the finished article.
Loggy88 Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 Do everything to keep them would be advice. Kasper is great keeper Kingy is good and Jeff is versatile. Be very disappointed if any of them go, Kasper going worrys me the most.

Agreed but I'm sure we could all see the potential in Zaha last season and expected him to progress, Schlupp I'm still not sure about, he most certainly isn't, for me, a left back and he is still well short of commanding a regular role up front. I certainly wouldn't be playing him down the middle and forcing Wood & Nugent out wide as Pearson did.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 We're still likely to get more for Beckford than most of our current first team.....what does that tell you You can't pluck speculation out of the air and then treat it like a fact Beckford will go for pennies. Any team interested in him will know we have no plans for him and can't afford his wages now FFP looms. I'd say a free transfer is likely if anyone is willing to pay his wages in full. I don't think he's the only one in this situation either, but I think after his alright run at 'Udders he'd be more likely to go over some of our other players who Pearson would be looking to shift. Personally I can see very little activity happening this summer, and a lot of loaning out (and some in) after the Summer. I'm hoping most of the starting squad is retained, but if the right money comes our way I guess anyone in the squad would be up for sale
NathanC93 Posted 15 May 2013 Author Posted 15 May 2013 I think if we were to sell King (bad idea) then he would warrant at least 3m. He must have at least 3 years on his contract still after the renewal in the Sven era. But bloody give that Kasper a new contract pleaseeeee!

Schlupp should be starting to realise his potential now and for me, I'm sorry to say, he is falling short. Hopefully I'm proved wrong but I'm not sure he is going to make it with us.
nickelbyfox Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 This. Schlupp should be starting to realise his potential now and for me, I'm sorry to say, he is falling short. Hopefully I'm proved wrong but I'm not sure he is going to make it with us. I agree as a striker - although could become a terrific left back if he trains for it

If we sold I doubt we'd get much more than £500k, he's an unknown quantity, hasn't really nailed any particular position, didn't impress Utd enough for them to be interested in putting him into their development squads and I can't see what the hype is for at this stage. That said, there are some raw abilities which make me think he could learn his trade down the left side. SSL we'd be looking at about £700k I'd imagine. King £1.5m, Futacs, Gally etc - people know we don't want/need them we won't get much for them. Same with Danns, £500k maybe. I think people have unrealistic expectations of value - perhaps boosted by our own spending under Sven. Not many players move for over a million outside the prem these days.
