Yeah I know now. Can't understand having a murderer as an avatar but hey I have a dumb cowardly wizard who lives on a flat world that has fourelephants underneath supporting a giant turtle so maybe I'm the one that is mad. :)

MattP, I think you should think about changing your member title, having "na na na Ali Ali Cook" with a Mick Philpott avatar looks a bit sick

Will do lol

Manslaughter. Doesn't class you as a murderer.

For someone I've seen tell people 15-20 times not to make judgements until a verdict is handed down you should try and get your descriptions right after one lol

Hi Charlie, welcome to Foxestalk!  Dont take it too seriously, none of us know you so the thread was about the article really.  Annoying as you visit must have been, this was not news, and reporting what was an admin error as some big drama that tells us something meaningful about ATOS is a pretty big leap .  This is no reflection on your wider experience or situation with ATOS or your health, just this story.  Incidentally how on earth did this end up in the press?

hi thanks for your comments . the reason it got to the telle is that i have been speaking to Jim Davies on leicester radio for some time now and i think he got in touch with tele and papers cuz he has seen how atoss have been lieing from the start with my disability.  he came out and did a programe on his show a while ago now, and as for the people who keep telling me to go to work and slagging me off ,how can i do a job when i cant sit for more than 10 min with out bad pain and all the tablets i am on i would get done by the police for driving while druged up, and i am not able to drive far only about 1or 2 miles if i am lucky because of pain, this has taken me 30 min to write out with one finger cuz i am not very good at these things. still live in the pay as you go phones  era cuz these other things are to complicated for me so this is why i have only ever done manual work, and i bet most of the people who are makeing bad comments are claiming money for anything they can get there hands on with rent, council tax ,and all the rest. we pay our full council tax and every thing else for that matter.  any way thanks for your kind words

You could walk/wheel yourself into a telesales job tomorrow if you wanted it.

The reason, that there are 2.5 million people unemployed is because te majority of those people are bone idle, good for nothing lazy bastards.

There are jobs available, you just have to be willing to work for a shit wage to start off with.

People in this country want everything handed to them on a plate, a job will not fall into your lap that pays you £30k + per year.

I swept streets for the council for 13 months in all weather conditions, it was shit, 1 week I'd have a full set of shifts, the other I'd have 1 or 2, the office bosses were wankers and the money was shit (I don't have anything against street cleaners, this country would be 3ft deep in rubbish if it wasn't for them) but I did it, now I have a job I love, in a fantastic company earning good money.

You put hard work in, you get a good living out of it, if that makes me a tool, so be it.

Having cleaned the streets for a bit doesn't make you a tool, the fact it seems to have given you a right to judge a disabled person's ability to work based on 2 posts on the internet, does.

He was going to ATOSS for assessment because he had been signed off sick by a doctor who had met him assessed him and deemed him unfit for work. I think they are a bit more qualified than you. We also don't know the result of the assessment, maybe Charlie could enlighten us. In his last post he has given us more insight into his illness and skills, read that and tell me he is capable of doing a telesales job, bearing in mind a telesales job doesn't just require talking on the phone.

I would suggest you stop being a judgemental **** and accept that some people are too sick to work and yes that does mean your hard earned tax money does go to provide help for them, but that is called living in a modern caring society and not one where the sick are just cast aside to rot away. I hope you never get seriously ill, and if you do I really hope people like you aren't in power.

I realise that it was a struggle but I am pleased that you managed to respond and put your side of things. There are so many myths and misconceptions on many issues. There are people out there that will listen This group was set up to address those issues and allow normal people to have a voice.

It has come a long way in five years and has certainly helped me with confidence and taught me not to believe everything in the press which is often diluted and edited for its readership. Community news is from the people that matter and from the heart.

Good luck and take it easy. Don't let comments get to you. We are on your side.
