Head Honcho Posted 3 August 2005 Posted 3 August 2005 Does anybody out there know who our New Mystery Striker is gonna be? Craig Levein must be looking abroad, cause i can't think of anyone. Any Ideas?
LoneWolf Posted 3 August 2005 Posted 3 August 2005 i would like to see a foreign striker come in Lee Trundle is a player i would like to come in though, if i could pick any realstic target it would prob be him
Head Honcho Posted 3 August 2005 Author Posted 3 August 2005 I think he got 22 goals in 36 games last year for the Swans. He's a 100% player every game, but not sure he could take the step up in class, but if we can get him for a decent price then i'd say go for it.
lush Posted 3 August 2005 Posted 3 August 2005 This might sound daft, but is dickov first choice at blackburn now with bellamy and kugi set to start? ooh if we had paul, i`d bet us to win the league. Alternatively, theres gallagher and matt jansen at rovers. Francis jeffers is way down the list at charlton, might he be up for a loan move? Neil mellor at liverpool? Malcom christie at boro? he could do with a championship career booster.
shen Posted 3 August 2005 Posted 3 August 2005 I desperately hope for a striker with some character...a fiery temper. Someone in the mould of Dickov....
Head Honcho Posted 3 August 2005 Author Posted 3 August 2005 Imagine Dickov back here. It'd be great for team spirit. Topman
BartonFox Posted 3 August 2005 Posted 3 August 2005 No it wouldn't. This is a new era and although Dickov was a bright moment in a dark past of recent times we have moved on from that. Never go back in football. Look at Steve Guppy as exhibit A.

miles2lcfc Posted 3 August 2005 Posted 3 August 2005 Somebody mentioned Clinton Morrison on a season long loan if Brum get Paniarni.
Ulrich Posted 3 August 2005 Posted 3 August 2005 I would really like to see what Lee Trundle can do in the higher divisions, but I`m sure he would be an excellent buy a great player. Someone mentioned Jeffers. I think another interesting option. I`m sure he wants to prove a point and show that he is still a good striker. Jeffers certainly knows where the goal and I`m sure he could score quite regulary at championship level. A loan move would be a good idea.
Burnsy Posted 3 August 2005 Posted 3 August 2005 Dickov would be great but his miss's hated life in Leicester so weve got no chance and la manga was the final nail in the cofffin for her and him
Burnsy Posted 3 August 2005 Posted 3 August 2005 Forget Lee trundle aswell as hes no team player id sooner get Iaim Hume from tranmere

marko Posted 3 August 2005 Posted 3 August 2005 Contry to popular belief Lee Trundle isn't that good, he's a fat Ronaldinho wannabe and wouldn't cut it at a higher level. All he is good for is a few tricks every game.

Scow Posted 3 August 2005 Posted 3 August 2005 If we had to resort to a loan signing, then Morrison would be a decent option. Fairly pacey, and knows where the net is in this division. I can only see this happening if Bruce brings in Euell from Charlton. Brum will then have Heskey, Pandiani, Forsell and Euell/Morrison at their disposal, and Bruce has admitted he wants just 4 strikers.

Cobbo Posted 3 August 2005 Posted 3 August 2005 Trundle does not have pace. He's a fatty who likes to showboat. He's also nearly 30. Good in division 4!
