Wedding Venue Help

Recommended Posts

A friend of mine is getting married next year and wants to hire a Marquee/ Tipi Tent for the reception and needs a field/ large garden area to hire.

Preferably in the Quorn area or Leicestershire.

Does anyone have any ideas or contacts that might be able to help as they are really struggling.

Thanks.

It's a little further out, but Rosliston Forestry Centre near Swad do that sort of thing and I think they're licensed for weddings.

Saw it on the episode of Don't Tell The Bride with the couple from Leicester!

Don't hire a marquee. For the reception go for a Happy Meal. If the poor sod's getting married it'll be the last happy thing he does.

And the free toys can be the wedding favours.

I know someone that can help with a big garden but he doesnt know it yet.

I hear Michael Barrymore can provide the swimming pool

Didn't want to start a new thread for this so I thought the above would suffice!

Me and my other half are considering a quick registry office wedding followed by a huge outdoor party and ceremony and wondered if anybody had done/attended anything similar?

We're now living in Warwickshire and there are plenty of beautiful fields to hire for around £500/1000 for half a week and then it's a case of hiring everything else from gazebos/tepees, chairs, tables etc. If we can make it work it should be awesome, but there seems like a hell of a lot to do (as with any wedding though)!

A friend of my wife and I were going to do something similar but when the added the costs up, it worked out ridiculously expensive but they do have an expensive taste.

Not personally been to one but I know people who have and they loved it. Especially with cheaper / free alcohol.

Fortunately for me and my wife, we had everything in one place and it worked out great. Still expensive but we had a wedding co-ordinator who sorted out everything.

Anyway, time to do something more manly, like drink a lager or spit in a urinal.
