Ashley Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 Does anyone know if this is a remembrance fixture at all? In previous years the last post and minutes silence has always been fvcked up by people in the crowd leading to both sets of supporters calling each other 'scum' and involving some nasty scenes inside the ground. Leicester City please do the upmost to get the message across so everything goes to plan or do a minutes applause.
Larry_LCFC Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 Last year the minutes silence was during the last post and it worked a lot better. Never gonna get silence at a footy match between rivalffans unfortunately.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 If some of the away fans start shouting during the silence please don't shout back, let them make idiots of themselves
Ian W LCFC Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 I love these games, the helicopter is fantastic, and always gets a good atmosphere going. This should be a great game.
DennisNedry Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 The last 2 rememberance games I recall were Derby and Leeds (and there was trouble at both). I expect more trouble for Forest. Why can't we have Doncaster or Yeovil at home ffs?
Ian W LCFC Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 Didn't we have a rememberance fixture against Millwall about 2/3 seasons back? I remember they didn't show much respect.
Simmo86 Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 Last years rememberance fixture was against Forest
Guest Bilo Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 Didn't we have a rememberance fixture against Millwall about 2/3 seasons back? I remember they didn't show much respect. I'm not surprised, the men we were honouring fought against Nazis.
Ian W LCFC Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 Wonder if we are getting the helicopter again If we aren't then that will be dssapointing. Adds something different compared to a normal matchday.
Fox92 Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 People are low life idiots if they cannot put a game of football aside for real heroes.
nlukka Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 Out of interest, do other clubs mark Remembrance Day in a similar way? And do the club pay the cost of the helicopter or is that something the RAF do? Would be a fantastic gesture by the club if they do pay it.
Asha Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 or do a minutes applause. I've always found a 'minutes applause' fvcking weird. It never really correlates into a poignant moment like the silence does, it just seems like it's doing something for the sake of it. Plus, a minute is a long time to clap. Seriously, it's unnaturally long and after a while all you can think about is how much your hands hurt.
