Cherish the moment

I feel like saying this on the back of 3 managerial sackings today. I think we really do need to cherish what is going on at our football club at the moment because there are many other supporters around the country who'd give a lot to have what we have.

As a young supporter my first Leicester memories were us getting relegated from the Premiership in 02, the brief promotion period, before an another relegation and then the downward spiral. Pearson sorted us out before we suicidally lost him, we had the Sousa nightmare, then the excitement of the Sven era which also turned out to be a disaster. Now we have positive stability for the first time pretty much in my Leicester City supporting days. We have a clever, underrated and passionate manager who is the perfect guy for our club at this present stage. He's assembled a squad of players with an incredible desire to win for Leicester and credit deserves to go to the players who have bounced back from last season better than any of us could've ever imagined. I feel like there is a lateral bond between the majority of the support and the team and there really is a growing belief from both parties.

We have owners who seemingly have learned from their mistakes and are taking a back seat. Their appointment of Terry Robinson seemed to raise eyebrows at the time but it appears that his appointment has taken heaps of pressure of Pearson + co, let's just hope they can sort the contract situation asap. When you compare our owners to the clowns at Cardiff, Hull and Forest and for that, I am very grateful.

The Anderlecht story has only increased the positivity and we have so many things to look forward to in December alone.

the only non-ideal is the uncertainty of FFP and its effect on player contracts.

Keep the faith and IF things take a tiny blip, keep the faith even more!

It's like sitting in a school assembly and being told how lucky we are in the West to have food on our plate and roof over our head!

We all know you didn't go to school!

Seriously though I do agree. Also a young fan and this is undoubtedly the best I've ever had it and I'm loving it!

Some of the older lot might tell us we don't know our place in football but I don't care! Top of the league!  :yahoo:   :trumpet:  :jump:

Being a younger fan as well Ive only been really consisently following since near the end of the 02/03 season. A brief excitement and then a relegation..mostly afterwards my main memories were 'am I really this unlucky? we used to be so good'(the feeling through the 04-08 era). I must say I thought it was normal. The league 1 season was almost unbelievable for me, we had never so much as won a few games in a row until then..a shambles tbh.

I must say though since Pearson joined in 08..bar probably the 11/12 season, which IMO was a little flat, we have been exciting every other season since. I have enjoyed being a Leicester fan for the last 5 years in the whole. Its been a breath of fresh air since the horrible 4 seasons where it was appaling. I put this down to one man - Nigel Pearson. This guy will always, no matter what he does from here on, be a Leicester legend IMO.
