Guest Col city fan Posted 11 January 2014 Posted 11 January 2014 Surprise surprise... with excitement and incident comes atmosphere.... Last night's was a very exciting game and people got excited. Its not rocket science. The stadium is just too big when only the fans who 'sing for the sake of singing' are doing so. For example, At Filbert St the whole stadium sounded pretty loud if the Kops were full and making a noise. At the KP it pretty much takes most areas to be singing to make the stadium sound great.

Show something on the pitch..and we ll respond!
Kitchandro Posted 11 January 2014 Posted 11 January 2014 Thought it was, well played keep it up mate Just wondering where do you plan on going next season? Would be nice if some of us N blockers relocated together If N block is dismantled next season I'd like to see them migrate to the Kop. With those connected to Filbo Spirit trying to start something over there I might be considered to try a few matches over there.
LCFC FOX Posted 11 January 2014 Posted 11 January 2014 Getting all N blockers over to SK1 could be difficult. I would be up for it mind. I hope N block move over to SK1 for the Charlton game
Dan Posted 11 January 2014 Posted 11 January 2014 If you can do it for Charlton then do it. That could be an excellent atmosphere in my opinion. Last night proved to me that we really are good when we want to be and if all of these with a genuine dedication to a 90 minute effort in the stands are together, then we'll be the noisiest fans in the league at home as well as the best team.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 11 January 2014 Posted 11 January 2014 I'm glad I went tbh, atmosphere was great, but it was expected after how well we played.
LCFC FOX Posted 11 January 2014 Posted 11 January 2014 Out of interest did it luck like a fair chunk standing in N block last night from another bit in the ground? The amount of new songs that got aired was quality. We just need more numbers. There just needs to be a good way of suggesting people to go move over to SK1. As next season they seem to be looking like they have something planned. Which is a shame
Raj Posted 11 January 2014 Posted 11 January 2014 N block sounded great last night...could this be the start of an L and N block alliance in silencing away fans!!!!!!

The Derby fans seemed to be focusing on you a lot I think like Filbo Spirit said SK1/2 is the best option. The prices are comparatively cheap, it's not hugely popular, and it's as far away as you can get from the family stand. After all it is supposed to be a Kop, I'd love it to have a Kop style atmosphere.

I went to a game in Austria that was ****ing terrible, there was 5000 people there and about 30 away fans. It was one of the best atmospheres I have ever been in the middle of. You are right, that in England the stands are dictated by the pitch, but god do I wish that wasn't the case. It seems like this is the only country in the world were the fans feel like they need to be entertained before they open their gob!
Raj Posted 11 January 2014 Posted 11 January 2014 Its not about entertainment...its just a spark that gets the crowd going....a tasty tackle...pen....dodgy decision..goal etc....
AndWhat? Posted 11 January 2014 Posted 11 January 2014 Its not about entertainment...its just a spark that gets the crowd going....a tasty tackle...pen....dodgy decision..goal etc.... Yeah I know what you mean, I just wish that wasn't the case. I wish it was just a given that no matter what happens on the pitch there will always be a cracking atmosphere off it!
Kitchandro Posted 11 January 2014 Posted 11 January 2014 Yeah I know what you mean, I just wish that wasn't the case. I wish it was just a given that no matter what happens on the pitch there will always be a cracking atmosphere off it! I agree but that's what happens when people are charged so much money, they expect some entertainment. The authorities and football clubs themselves have done so much to crush atmosphere and they've succeeded pretty well tbf. People are told that they shouldn't be enjoying themselves and should just sit there and watch it. It's an attitude that has been absorbed by the public.

My ticket in Austria cost me 10 Euro!

LCFC FOX Posted 11 January 2014 Posted 11 January 2014 Yeh there looked to be a decent amount standing in that block. The prices are comparatively cheap, it's not hugely popular, and it's as far away as you can get from the family stand. After all it is supposed to be a Kop, I'd love it to have a Kop style atmosphere. yeah a few teams sing "sit down you're the family stand to us" this year Derby are the first team to chant at our side more
