Bayfox Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Are you kidding? It's one of the best grounds in Britain, period. 4 lovely looking stands, close to the pitch, good acoustics, a proper home end behind the goal. What more do you want? Stewarding has nothing to do with the stadium, and neither do the fans in fact. The stadium itself is great. Still, davie what are you playing at mate. Haven't you told your grandson that Leicester always beat Liverpool? Can't say I agree but each to their own. Whenever I have been I have been disappointed. The acoustics cant be great because the kop sounds shit from the away end. That or its overated as I felt let down. can't say that the stands blow me away either. Think there are many better grounds around europe. I'll give you the close to the pitch, infact that is the worst thing about all modern stadia. When will someone build a stand on the edge of the pitch. our ground would be 4x better if we didnt have 30 yards before the front row. but I just dont get the anfield love in. Maybe it was an expectation from tales I'd heard but I would say i rate st james, ot, highbury and despite the fact it looks shit from most angles whl as grounds above anfield. But i suppose it's subjective.
AoWW Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 I know, I can't believe somebody would talk to a a Llama like that. They're second-rate Alpacas, in my opinion. This little fella's so much cuter than CtheL.

cityfanlee23 Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is. I confess, I am not Bob Dylan. I am probably also not the hero of the people, but that is only because the people are stupid. Since we're airing accusations: I don't believe you are any people's hero, let alone the people, and I don't believe you are actually Bob Dylan. I love the way this is going hahaha
davieG Posted 20 January 2014 Author Posted 20 January 2014 I could've been Bob Dylan if my mum had married Mr Dylan and named me Robert.

But i suppose it's subjective. Agree with this. I went in the Man United away end there a few years ago when Kuyt bagged a trick. Even though they gave United the run around that day, I couldn't hear the Kop at all. Add that to the fact you could barely see the Kop from no more than two thirds of the way up the stand and you've got yourself a massive let down. Fair enough it was an early kick off, but the Sheffield, Tyne-Wear and South Wales derbies don't let that be an excuse. Anfield is a myth.
Fox92 Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 Would love to have seen the Kop back in the day. Looks impressive. Still think it's great now. The banners and flags are always good to see, even as an opposition fan.
