I really wouldn't use QPR as a yardstick.

Didn't they massively increase the price of tickets when they got promoted, hence the large increae in turnover, although I'm still struggling as to where they got to £120m as TV rights weren't worth 65m for the bottom side at that point.

I'd expect ours to go up but hopefully within reason.

Average revenue for a champ club is 20-30m
Average for a prem club is 6x that

Based on what?

Can we get promoted first?

There's a reason for the thread, it doesn't presume we are getting promoted, I just wanted to nail how much promotion was actually worth should we get promoted.

You don't seriously believe it's bad luck to discuss such things do you?

Nothing wrong with that, as long as it's based on well supported details not some rubbish plucked from the air to defend what a poster says. And is a debate not a name calling exercise. Still that's not CL's style is it :nono:

You make your own luck.

I do believe in not getting ahead of yourselves though.

So do I but I was getting sick and tired of seeing '120m per season' becoming the accepted figure, nobody ever seemed to question it.

Rather like the 20-30 million average for championship clubs, I would like to see a break down of this and how much of it for parachute payments.

The revenue could be potentially as high as that though if you were to be promoted and end up finishing top of the Premiership in the following season not that its happened, so I cannot see what is wrong with what Lee has said (on this occasion)
