weller7 Posted 17 February 2014 Posted 17 February 2014 I have never mentioned the premier League but its all about opinions & Pearson obviously doesn't fancy these pair but the football world doesn't evolve around Leicester City these boys will move on & have good careers elsewhere
Langston Posted 17 February 2014 Posted 17 February 2014 These days there are companies who literally give away Audi's/BMW's/Mercs etc to footballers. The cars are all on finance and the rates they pay are ridiculous in comparison to what a non-footballer would pay. They specifically target this market to gain exposure. Also you would be surprised at the salary the majority of our U21 squad is on, some of the figures that are talked about are ridiculous and way off the mark. We aren't Chelsea, we aren't handing out £35,000 a week contracts to the likes of Nathaniel Chalobah to go out on loan. People need to cut them some slack. If you can afford an Audi at 21, why shouldn't you have an Audi at 21? In case some people who are jealous of your talent and financial status get the huff and start slagging you off? At the end of the day some of these lads will make it and some of them won't. What happens if Taft turns out to be a 1st team centre back in a few years? I'm sure half of you won't give him the respect he would be due, whereas if he doesn't make it and plays lower league football you will no doubt go on about it and slag him off. Even if he ends up playing League 2 football for the rest of his career, he would still be in a position that many wish they were in. Calm down, George.
Dan Posted 17 February 2014 Posted 17 February 2014 That's an unreal result really looking at their team. Great effort from all involved.
Andyfeeley Posted 17 February 2014 Posted 17 February 2014 There's some helmets on here , credit the lads where it's due you retards
Danno Posted 17 February 2014 Posted 17 February 2014 I have never mentioned the premier League but its all about opinions & Pearson obviously doesn't fancy these pair but the football world doesn't evolve around Leicester City these boys will move on & have good careers elsewhere Every time Taft is mentioned you and scousefox4 pop up. Give it a rest George you absolute muppet.
Buzzell Posted 17 February 2014 Posted 17 February 2014 I have never mentioned the premier League but its all about opinions & Pearson obviously doesn't fancy these pair but the football world doesn't evolve around Leicester City these boys will move on & have good careers elsewhere I hope they do go and have successful footballing careers, in fact I hope it is here with us if they do end up making it. The point I was trying to get across is that I doubt they would be Premier League quality. Hopefully they can prove us all wrong.
CosbehFox Posted 17 February 2014 Posted 17 February 2014 Blimey there are some numptys on this foxestalk Fulham put out a very strong side tonight with the likes of Larnell Cole Ryan Tunnicliffe Matthew Briggs etc etc plus Taft marking Greece international Kostas Mitroglou completely out the game just how many of these games do the likes of buzzer B go too ????? Both looked excellent tonight against good opposition & 2 leicester goals coming from players Cain & Taft this evening . How come it didn't go well at York, Geo? Or that we didn't hear any rave reviews from the Swedish Third Division. Good result for the u21s. Always weary of senior players in these fixtures, they are playing on auto pilot.
weller7 Posted 17 February 2014 Posted 17 February 2014 Well let's hope our beloved Lcfc get promotion & these boys get free transfers to play elsewhere .
GingerrrFox Posted 17 February 2014 Posted 17 February 2014 Drinkwater will never be anywhere near as good as Steven Gerrard in his whole footballing career. As for Cain and Taft..... Was you drinking your Grandads cough medicine whilst posting this post? Are you on smack? That's exactly what I meant. Players will constantly be at different levels of ability but does that mean Danny Drinkwater can't be a solid Premiership player because he's not as good as Steven Gerrard? At least be intelligent enough to understand what I was saying.
Andyfeeley Posted 17 February 2014 Posted 17 February 2014 I watched the game against WBA u21 Taft was stand out performer there too to be fair there's obviously talent in our u21s and they will only benefit from playing the premiership teams like they are surely ?
Dan Posted 18 February 2014 Posted 18 February 2014 I really don't understand it with Taft. Keeps getting good reviews in the youth league yet got slated for how bad he looked at York - worth another loan to a League Two side maybe? There's no middle ground with that lad.

It's not the players, it's the competition. The under 21 is played at half pace involving seniors who don't want to be there. The top clubs insist on loaning their best youngsters to the real leagues for a competitive edge. Therefore it is very difficult to assess a players quality off these games.
