Katy Posted 17 August 2005 Posted 17 August 2005 Don't do it, naturelle is the best way, extensions look false. 157511 Not if they are done properly with human hair - expensive though
Guest Posted 17 August 2005 Posted 17 August 2005 Not if they are done properly with human hair - expensive though 157847 I still wouldn't have it done.
Katy Posted 17 August 2005 Posted 17 August 2005 I still wouldn't have it done. 157867 The chances are minimal as there are about 10 million more important things I have to spend my limited money on.
rossporterlc Posted 17 August 2005 Posted 17 August 2005 check this out....My T Sharp!! Thats the name of my barbers! In Bedford near the BP Safeway garage on Newnham Avenue if anyone is passing through the lovely town of Bedford! Ross: Would try on my Bro but hes in France for a week! 157498 sounds like you will have to find another victim, (i mean volunteer) then
Alexikokopops Posted 17 August 2005 Posted 17 August 2005 Agree with the last one! If its wrong, what can they do bout it? NOTHING! 156005 If you want more off the back they can.
Hitesh Posted 17 August 2005 Posted 17 August 2005 If you want more off the back they can. 157884 Fair enough, but generally when they cut my hair its a grade 1 (short!) so theres not much they can do!
Hitesh Posted 17 August 2005 Posted 17 August 2005 i go to rons on high street £8 there 158114 yeah...moving this on a bit and staying on the same subject, how much do people pay for their haircut? i pay between £6-8 depending on what mood the hairdresser is in. because i am a regular and they know im a student they charge me less mostly. The price list says £8 but generally pay £6. Not bad for bedford, iv seen some places charge £15!!!
john_lcfc Posted 17 August 2005 Posted 17 August 2005 I have mine done at home. Me, lazy? Pah. 157288 About £10 for me. Not bad really. 158121 home service hair cuts for £10.. not bad eh
Matt Posted 4 September 2005 Posted 4 September 2005 I may have to pay for someone to do my hair soon I have NEVER paid for a haircut in my life because my mum has always done it, because she used to be a hairdresser, but my mum doesn't do streaks/highlights and I fancy have some streaks/highlights Does anyone else have streaks or highlights? Obviously prices will vary from hairdresser to hairdresser but how much do you pay? so I have some kind of idea - My mum pays £30 for a haircut and highlights, that is at the same hairdressers I will probably be having the streaks or highlights.

rossporterlc Posted 4 September 2005 Posted 4 September 2005 do it yourself!! its not hard i know people who do this and end up looking like morons, it's not expensive get a hairdresser to do it
cisono Posted 4 September 2005 Posted 4 September 2005 i know people who do this and end up looking like morons, it's not expensive get a hairdresser to do it Get a hairdresser to do it first time at least (and see how it's done). Alternatively, do it yourself, but be ready to run to the hairdresser's (with a hat on your had) to have them cover up your artwork, if need be! (Downside: this might end up costing you more than just the hairdresser's option)
foxes_fan Posted 4 September 2005 Posted 4 September 2005 I go to a gay hairdresser who never asks questions like that!!! No he just rubs himself against you at every given oppurtunity.
cisono Posted 4 September 2005 Posted 4 September 2005 No he just rubs himself against you at every given oppurtunity. Why would a gay hairdresser rub himself against me?!?!
cisono Posted 4 September 2005 Posted 4 September 2005 No he just rubs himself against you at every given oppurtunity. PS: You seem to have some experience in this area. Do tell
Matt Posted 4 September 2005 Posted 4 September 2005 i know people who do this and end up looking like morons, it's not expensive get a hairdresser to do it Exactly, My mum is a hairdresser so she could always fix it by tidying up my hair but its took time to grow my hair(Its not that long but it long enough) so want to keep it like this just want a few highlights and streaks.
Matt Posted 4 September 2005 Posted 4 September 2005 Bought some of this today; Used it once its quite good, I used to use Dax which is wax but it pulls on your hair (When its not short) and wax hurts your hair when its longish, and then it doesn't wash out very easy either so I still use Dax occasionally but not very often, I then went back to Brylcreem gel which is quite good but I find gels don't last and lose there hold as the day passes by, but I bought this wax stick today made by brylcreem seems quite good i'll have too see...

Benji Posted 4 September 2005 Posted 4 September 2005 expensive but great stuff, lovely coconut smell too
cisono Posted 4 September 2005 Posted 4 September 2005 expensive but great stuff, lovely coconut smell too Is it a gel or a hairspray? Have you tried organic virgin coconut oil itself? It smells lovely!!!
Benji Posted 4 September 2005 Posted 4 September 2005 it's a paste for shortish hair really but they do all kinds of products for different hair/effects KMS Site I go to Indy's in town, they use KMS a lot so i buy it from there
Matt Posted 6 September 2005 Posted 6 September 2005 My hair is too long to use Dax (from what you say)!!! Let me know how the new product works out for you... Used it for 2 days now its ok, but as gel does it seems to not hold you hair in the style for the whole day, this could because I am in a dusty job and the last 2 days have been really hot and humid so the hair products gradually lose hold, e.t.c. It seems ok, the test will be at the weekend because I don't work weekends so can test it in a normal environment!
