Kitchandro Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 We've waited 10 years. As long as it happen, that's all that matters. The attitude that people want us to do it while playing is a bit like not having sex for 10 years, then only wanting it if it's with Angelina Jolie after she's taken you down the City, and then bought you a takeaway while watching The Godfather. Let's just get it done, ASAP. I agree that getting promoted is the main thing, however it happens. But fvck me, football is all about the celebrations, going mental with thousands of your brethren. It would be a shame to not have that, that's what I go to the football for really.

Let's just get it done, ASAP. It isn't at all unreasonable to want to celebrate promotion inside the stadium rather than at home on your own. Not at all. In fact I'd say that's what it's all about, waiting ten years for that moment and then, oh it's not really there. Fvcking great. We don't need to get it done ASAP either. You sound like you're worried about whether it'll happen or not with that comment.
QatarFox Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 If we win our next 2 I'm going to celebrate in the Bournemouth ground on Saturday, perks of living in the south
Nalis Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 I'm going to be entirely selfish and say that I hope it happens on Saturday. I'm going on hols for two weeks and have a ten hour flight leaving at 9.30pm next Tuesday. Those ten hours are going to kill me not knowing if we have mathematically done it by then or not...
Jimbo Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 If we win our next 2 games we're as good as matchmatically certain anyway so what does it matter if it's not confirmed until the next afternoon? Remember Leeds at home, made even better by Howards last minute goal of course, but that celebration, for me personally, was because that meant we were as good as promoted that day. Friday night should have the same feel about it, providing we do the business tomorrow night
Burmesefox Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 Mathematically we cannot be assured of promotion until the Brighton game at the earliest. We need 7 more points as it stands as technically QPR could still do it on goal diff if they win every game.

We need 7 more points as it stands as technically QPR could still do it on goal diff if they win every game. But if we win both our games this week and QPR don't win then it's confirmed. So it'd be before the Brighton game
Manwell Pablo Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 But if we win both our games this week and QPR don't win then it's confirmed. So it'd be before the Brighton game I'd worry about it after the Wigan game anyway. Be a hell of a result to go there and win and if we don't chances are a draw will be enough to keep mathematically in touch with us.
Silverdaz Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 I'll be utterly mortified if we are promoted on Saturday when we don't play. Why you should be over the moon regardless of when it happens
Agent Fox Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 **** that. I would genuinely rather draw one of the two games if it meant delaying it to a time we actually play. Barring an awful run, the only game it could happen really is Brighton at home. Thanks again though $ky. Thanks for potentially ruining something we've waited 11 years for. This.
