Legend_in_blue Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 No pace through the middle of the defence. Plain to see. Against top quality next season we need more pace in defence.
Sunbury Fox Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Thought we played well at times. Surprised people are so unhappy. Missed James a lot - Hammond a very poor alternative. But still a decent point as Reading nowhere near as bad as some are saying. Need to get Liam back in as CB, though.
Livid Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 A lot better than last Tuesday by miles. I'll take a point but am frustrated that we didn't get the win as I thought they were nothing special. A couple of months ago we would have mullered them. Not exactly playing with the swagger and confidence of champions elect though and that disappoints me a little. I thought we would kick on after getting the P next to our name.
lee7 Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 I'm sure Hull and Palace had similar games last season. Have teams regularly been putting 4 and 5 past those? Your right they probably did last season, that is why I said 'if we' play like that next season in the prem then we will get beaten heavily week in week out. Palace are tight at the back now with pulis in charge so they don't ship a lot of goals. With the chances that we give away mainly from set pieces but also from open play such as today, last Tuesday and the Wednesday game at home, in the prem those chances will be taken. Look at Fulham they defend poorly week in week out and they've had 4 put past them a fair few times this season including the 4 by us.
