crisp packet Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 We played a far far worse side than the brighton side which turned up on Tuesday. Just as poor, just as clueless, had it been Brighton it probably would have been 4-1 again. We need to improve a lot by saturday. Wow 7 clear of second 4 games remaining ? FFS !!
Stuliasz Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Thought it was a million miles better than Tuesday. Still not at our best but looked very threatening coming forward. Defensively wes and was just aren't at it right now. Maybe worth giving Moore a run in there before the end of the season.
Stan Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Some people just cannot wait to have a good old moan. We weren't quite 'on it' but that was a decent point all in all
Corky Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 We were much better, we got stuck in, we attacked with pace, we actually looked interested tonight. We could've won the game, no way could you say that about the Brighton match.
superfox1980 Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 A decent point in my opinion. Would have taken a draw before the game. Both teams had decent chances to be fair. The players have been outstanding all season and it's only natural that they've taken the foot off the gas a little. Tiredness and the mental strain of competing at the top will take it's toll. Some huge over reactions as usual. Well done boys...let's spank arry's muppets on Saturday and seal the title !
Stadt Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 A fairly balanced game that puts back on track, few concerns still but we're already promoted so the players aren't going to be in the best possible mindset. WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUE, REMEMBER!?

We could've won the game, no way could you say that about the Brighton match. Not to mention had what may well have been a legit goal chalked off.
MattGamble92 Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 I'm a massive dyer fan. What I'd like to know is why when he has an off game why so many fans seem to love to bash him. Like you are almost waiting for him to have a bad game. In the same way you are waiting for us to lose a few so you can bash Nigel next season. Just never understood these sorts of fans. Almost sound like you enjoy players failing so you can have a good moan
Grewks Posted 14 April 2014 Author Posted 14 April 2014 Wow 7 clear of second 4 games remaining ? FFS !! So? Only 1 from the last 2. I am moaning about the performances of the last 2 matches, that doesn't mean i am completely ecstatic about our success this season and delighted to be returning to the premier league with exciting players in the side like mahrez, vardy and drinky. I am just creating a discussion. The last 2 games have not been good enough, Pearson has effectively said the same, and tonight may have been an improvement in our performance, but there was certainly a decline in the standard of opposition.

AmyLGK Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 woah woah what's all this moaning about!! Ok it wasn't the best performance from the lads but there were moments of greatness that we've seen so many times this season. For some reason (tiredness, injury?) Dyer has lost his pace, and there were a few too many miss placed passes for my liking, but come on - we can still end this season as champions and with over 100 points! WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUE!

We settled for a point ? Not that we have done much this season ? But with four to play come on mate? Enjoy it for what it is ? A great season .....

Almost sound like you enjoy players failing so you can have a good moan When players/ the team play really well I'll give praise. When players/ the team have an off game I'll say so. That's the point of the forum to have a discussion about these sort of things. It's not me being critical or "bashing" the team it's me saying how I see it.
Carl the Llama Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Grewks you need some sedatives before next year or you'll be a nightmare.
Grewks Posted 14 April 2014 Author Posted 14 April 2014 We settled for a point ? Not that we have done much this season ? But with four to play come on mate? Enjoy it for what it is ? A great season ..... But you're still missing the point. my reaction to the success of our season has absolutely nothing to do with the results in the last 2 games, it is irrelevant.
lee7 Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Play like that in the prem and you'll see us getting 4 or 5 put past us every game. Dyers performance was exactly that dire. Morgan and was were bullied by their big forward Like the OP said if we had played Brighton again tonight we would've suffered the same defeat as Tuesday night. I thought Tuesday was just a one off and we'd be back to normal tonight but evidently not. Before anyone replies to this saying I shouldn't be moaning after the season we've had. My opinion on this performance would've still been the same had this game taken place in January at the very start of our run. It's just irritating watching a Leicester side lacking urgency and seeing players put in half hearted performances.
Grewks Posted 14 April 2014 Author Posted 14 April 2014 Grewks you need some sedatives before next year or you'll be a nightmare. Why? We will be playing decent sides next year, Reading were almost as poor as any other side i have seen this season.
crisp packet Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 But you're still missing the point. my reaction to the success of our season has absolutely nothing to do with the results in the last 2 games, it is irrelevant. But the last two games are a result of the season? Mission accomplished ! Up .
Stuliasz Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Why? We will be playing decent sides next year, Reading were almost as poor as any other side i have seen this season. They really weren't, at least they had an attacking threat. Would you really compare them to the likes of Charlton / Ipswich / Blackpool that we have played at home? It seems very fashionable to call a team very poor when we have failed to pick up three points against them. Odd considering we were no better and a point was fair.
weller54 Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 In that team tonight Morgan, Was, Hammond, Dyer and Nugent will NOT hack it in the premier league... We will need at least 5 major signings to survive!!.. Fact!

Have teams regularly been putting 4 and 5 past those?

We will need at least 5 major signings to survive!!.. Fact! And I'm sure most wouldn't have thought Damien Delaney could hack Premier League football but he's part of one of the sternest defences in the league. Yes we need to strengthen but let's at least give some of our best performers this season a chance to step up before writing them off!
maxwelld_ Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 there are moaning bitches on this forum. We played a decent playoff hunting reading who on paper have a good team. We looked great in spells but lacked that cutting edge. Mahrez looked superb and though Hammond had a good game. Business end of the season and we've done our business very well so far ! Don't be surprised by a QPR lose Saturday as they again are playoff hunting. Don't worry think one more win will seal the championship and with any luck it will be at the promotion party of Donny home ! COYB
